Hey guys,
Just a quick question is there any plans currently to release surface/planetary based fighter "jets" or two-seater bombers or even just gunship "helos" with stuff like tv guided missiles for the gunner etc and the use of joystick compatibly etc (if that is technically possible for the PS3 ofc)
If you think this would be awesome please support this thread - sorry if its been mentioned elsewhere I only had a quick boys look thru the forums lol.

It has definitely been mentioned elsewhere but I support this idea fully. I think it's already on the drawing board though as the map legend loading screen has Heavy and Light Aerial Vehicles listed. I don't think CCP would neglect the opportunity to have close air support VTOL craft buzzing and strafing the enemy. I'm basically picturing this:

From my understanding currently:
Fighters are confirmed
Gunships are not.
Expect to see Fighters SOON tm |

that's a warhammer pic, and if i remember correctly the gunships a valkirye, but CCP has said that fighters and gunships will be post release content |

AWESOMEEEEEE!!!
ofc the only flipside to this i can see will be a much needed AA buff and some sort of variation maybe on the swarm launcher for such roles. |

If they don't add jets....they can at least add some sort of firing mechanic to dropships to allow for dogfights or whatever |

You are correct it is indeed a Valkyrie. I was also thinking Stormraven but that might be a bit too over the top. Basically I just want a space Apache. OR space A-10. |

I believe its rumored that Gunships are in Uprising. But don't take my word for it.
Fighters? As long as they are balanced. Warhawk and Starhawk both had fighters, and they where unbalanced. Made groundpounding un-enjoyable most of the time. |

Fighters are confirmed to be in before launch (there's even short gameplay footage of them in the alpha version- however, the pilot crashed too quickly to see much)
Gunships are expected to be a free expansion after launch- probably around the same time as MTACs |
