Ever since then the frame rate on that map has been slightly lower for me then usual. Not unplayable, but enough to screw with my aiming. Its really annoying when i get gunned down in a 1v1 that i should have won.
I dont know if anyone else has had this problem but its only gotten worse since they put the titan version of the map in. My aiming just feels super sluggish compared to the sand map. I wish it would fix itself because before the sound update that map used to be my favorite one, now its just annoying..... |

EDIT: Something I've thought about before but never posted-semi related.
With the new SP system we're rewarded 5sp/second for being in a match, this basically eliminates the time-saving aspect for being a good player, if I was rewarded equally to SP I earned to everyone else I would be able to cap in like 5 hours play time, no problem with that. but because of the SP system I have to spend just as much time even though I do 2x more work.

Only part of the OP that makes sense is hit detection is bugged. I've had problems with it myself.
Strafe speed is fine, don't speed up anything. People are just looking for COD crap. This is not COD. Stop asking for it to be. |

The game has become lackluster with all the promises that CCP has not made good on, but I'm still holding on to it's potential as opposed to quitting entirely, in hopes that some day they can deliver on at least ONE of the promises.
Does my team possibly suffer from my ego and entitlement - Sure.
Do I care - Nah man, I can get SP AND do something fun at the same time. |

From what I have seen of the Imperfects, they are a bunch of cry baby pansies who have no desire for the game to be better but to exploit the game for their own benifit. Entire squad AFK farming in the MCC is just a move to make other players hate the game and ruin the battles for everyone, and this was on a match the wasnt a complete stomp/redline. So not only were you a bunch of cowardly punks, but you also missed out on an interesting fight. LOL The game is boring to you because you are not playing it!!!! |

Only times I've ever had hit detection issues is when using a Shotgun and being too close to the target. If you're right up on them, and they're moving, the shot won't count.
My theory about this isn't hit detection itself but Hit Box Lag - something that we'd experience in Battlefield 2. There's a way to counter it but you have to know a bit about game design and the actual impact of -your- ping on the server.
Thing is, whenever something is moving in game (particularly at a high speed) their hit box has to follow. It gets difficult to follow them the faster it goes and the amount of time it takes for their connection to the server to actually send/receive the information. This is why (in Battlefield 2) whenever someone would stand up from a crouched position you'd aim at their Chevron/Name Plate rather than their actual body.
What would wind up happening is - with a good connection - they would stand up from crouch and their nameplate would flash in the area -they were going to be in-, which you would fire and they would die before their animation had time to finish; essentially killing them before they stood up from behind cover.
It's the same thing with Dust 514 only in the opposite direction. The server is trying to calculate where they will be in comparison to their graphical model and the hit box is falling short of their position.
Edit; I will mention that I have never had any problem with hit detection besides with the Shotgun (extremely close range) and Sniper Rifle (extremely long range) so if you're using an Assault Rifle, I dunno what to tell you. |
