I have found quite a few situations where I am sniping and I try to hit an enemy sniper aimed directly at them with no movement. I see their shields flash and still they do not move, but then to my surprise I see no damage done to them..... This persists no matter how much I adjust my aim and no matter the number of shots I pump into them. |

Try a Search now and then.
The normal phrase for this is hit detection and that should get you plenty of results as will shield flash.
The 3D-model and the Hit Box are not correct. It is being addressed along with at least another thousand items. No date given. |

Sorry new to forum and could not find anything with search. I have recently heard a common term for this is "head glitching" by hiding just behind a rock to fire sniper rifles. Either way I would like to see it fixed. I am not talking so much about hit detection as enviroment issues blocking my shots for no reason when I can clearly see them. |

Its not just the hitbox and character model.
Server latency, and how the terrain renders on your screen. You check server latency by watching your ammo count as you fire. If you fire an see your gun fire on the screen, but your ammo takes like a a half second to start going down.... you are lagging in the server and anyone else with a better connection to it has an upper hand on you.
Since you were sniping, its either just hit detection, or the terrain issue. Manus Peak is terrible about this, especially if they are on the huge mountain. If they are sitting on the side of the big mountain and they look like they are out in the open, but thats not the case. They are behind a rock, and it just hasnt rendered on your screen so you basically have no idea where to shoot them. I hear a higher zoom scope can help. |

I use a Mac and the quickest way I have found to access their help is via Google. And it has worked for me in DUST forums as well.
There are a few problems with the environment issues and blocked shots. First, TacNet and your Scope give you a False Positive now and then. They know the target is there and an orange pip is shown even though the target is behind something. It is not as bad as it had been in the past, I think. But I can still track a target occasionally as they step back and I Know I wouldn't be able to hit them.
When I am trying to get a good sighting it is difficult, for me, to track them and see if the Targeting Detail says 0% chance or not. When it is a difficult shot doing that means the pip moves enough to miss anyway. Frustrating.
Then there are map problems as well. Those should be reported in the Map Feedback Forums:
https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=forum&c=235
Include the Grid location from the JPEG for the map.
Also your Region (NA/EU/where ever else), GMT (date/time), public or Corp or mercenary match and whatever details you can add regarding your location and the enemy sniper (or just enemy I guess) and what is wrong with this picture. The detail will enable a QA tester or the Map Designer to find the problem.
Hope this helps. |

Hit detection has gotten horrible......many games I find players abosorbing bullets like there is no tomorrow. I will try and record it next time.
Also..there is no reason why the female assault suit should have different hit boxes than a male assault suit. |

Female characters don't have smaller hitbox than male ones. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=387335#post387335 |
