I wonder how many people here just buy the 7 day booster thinking that they're getting a deal. If you play everyday for a couple hours just to reach your cap, then wait for the following week to rinse and repeat, why by a 7 day booster?
You can more than reach the cap in 3 days. Buy a 3 day booster, and reach your cap, and you'll save AUR for the following week to do the same.
Unless you play everyday, which tbh I don't know how many Beta vets do, then sure, 7 days booster is where it's at.
Just thought I'll share this little AUR saving tip. Weekly cap = a 3 day booster. |

Agreed the 7 day is a terrible waste of cash, i got the 30 day one when i bought the mercenary pack and i wish i could witch it off when its not needed |

1500 is a little more than half of what I get in an average Ambush match, so yeah... if you can get 1000 WP and play a lot, then yes, it's worth it. |

I can also activate my 3 days booster on Monday- Tuesday morning, go hard to reach cap, for Wednesday, then go hard to reach cap again. Essentially no lifing for 3 days haha. |

3K AUR if I'm not mistaken. Not on right now to check.
Edite: 1- 3 day booster is 3K... i didn't realize you meant 2x3 days. I could be wrong about the price, but for someone who plays to reach the cap alone, I just get the 3 days booster and I'm happy with that. |

It's 3.5k AUR, and what Berserker meant by using a 7-day booster correctly is not playing 24/7 7 days a week, it's using a 7-day booster on a Saturday or Sunday and then your booster is working for 2 SP caps, with one day extra compared to 2 3-day boosters for the same price. |

While that is a valid point, the "hit the cap twice in 7 days" thing would only work the first time since you would use it on Sunday, hit your cap by Tuesday, cap reset Wednesday, hit cap by Friday or Saturday, and then even activating another booster on Sunday you still have to wait till Wednesday for the next cap reset so you have Sunday-Tuesday at the capped rate burning your first 3 days of your 7 day booster on awe employ capped out character.
If you are just going for the skill cap and have 3 solid days to grind it out, the 3 day booster still makes more financial sense because you are only paying for exactily what you need to hit the booster cap and then spend the rest on passive boosters because they are always a good thing.
I personally buy the merc packs for the 30 day boosters because my work schedule can be strange, I'll get a 2 days to play, then 3 days, then maybe 1 day, then perhaps a total of 12 hours in a ful week...and so on. So it makes more sense to me to get the 30 day and use the arum on passive while saving the consumables for the open market when we get it and if/when CCP changes the contents of the merc pack where some items might no longer be available. |

@Infected One Yeah I thought about that. You'll have to buy/use another Sunday after the next cap reset, which is a week later of consuming the 7 day booster. If you use another just after consuming 1 you won't be getting extra SP cause of cap. |

Or, if you had a full day available to you and nothing better to do, you could cap out and then just before you start your grind, hit the one day booster and cap out for the week. Then you can turn 2 seven day boosters in to 7 one day boosters. If you were worried about saving Aur....This way instead of spending 14k Aur for two weeks, you could spread it out over 7 weeks... |

Hmmm........ so if I activate a 3 day booster on Friday to cap my SP as opposed to a 7-day booster:
If it was a 7-day booster, I would activate it on Saturday so it would run to the Wednesday cap reset and then I can continue playing again till Saturday. However, for the 2nd SP cap, I'll only have Friday and Saturday to play due to time conflicts. So about 2 days wasted.
Now with a 3-day booster, being able to cap consistently from Friday to Saturday (for me) would make it worth it.
In my conclusion, only use the 7-day booster if you're able to play more than you usually do to reap the full benefits of it. If you only want to cap out the week's SP, use a 3 day booster near a weekend.
Just my thoughts.

lol yea. I figured people would just buy the 7 day booster cuz it seemed like the best thing. For people playing the game full time maybe, but if you're just looking to cap out, then call it a week, then 3 days is all you need. |

Still more convenient for me to buy a 3 day booster, play for 3 days, then not worry about DUST for another week. Till CCP gives people a reason to play. |

Yeah it's just personal preference. If your days are specific then a 3 day is better, but it's not like using a 7 day is more costly since you can still get two caps worth of SP for the same amount. |

It depends on the day you initially activate the booster in order to reap the benefits of both SP cap weeks. Me personally, I can't think of any day that would be good for me to activate it on since activating it on a weekend would gimp me for the time window of the 2nd SP cap since weekdays are a no no for me.
Still, all to one's preference.
EDIT: Merc Pack - 40,000 AUR + 30 day active booster. Essentially, you can get 5 7-day active/passive boosters with the 40,000 AUR with 5k AUR left. Best deal to skill up quickly right now. |
