(active fuel injectors)
post-nerf is anyone still using these things? Have you found it to be useful at all? If so, how ?

DUST Fiend wrote:I haven't used them once this build, personally; too heavy on the CPU for my taste. Plus, I fly Gallente, so I prefer a nice solid tank over fairy flight any day Real bummer for the rest of you though
I used to use it with a gallente. It I liked it. |

If you want deep tank, go with three extenders and one booster. The resists don't give you as much as an additional extender will. They don't make sense unless you are short on PG early in the game. The extender gives you 742 HP. To match that number with a 15% resist you would have to be at 742 / 0.15 = 4,946 shield points which is impossible to do with three slots on a dropship. Trading an extender for a second booster might let you sit and tank a single militia SL. It's something to experiment with.
how is anyone able to fly shields for more than 2 minutes without getting forge gunned to death? The most defensively built shield ship I can come up with is just target practice. |

The annoying thing is if this had happened before the patch i'd only have been hit by around 6 swarms
Do you often run them at the same time or alternate? |

Do you often run them at the same time or alternate?
same time normaly, if i'm getting that much AV thrown at me the extra armour per pulse is quite literally a lifesaver, has lead to some tricky situations where i'm in armour burn and both my reppers are halfway through their cooldown, you do sacrifice quite a bit of tank for the second repper though but it's worth it in my opinion
Do you keep an armor rep on it too?

I guess I just gave out one of my well kept secrets :P
But I was this whole time I thought you were talking about how you shield tank. I had asked how anyone can live in those things. Thought you had 2 shield reps |

You don't get any speed boost, but you do get that warp effect.
And that makes it cool. funny most of us ds pilots hate that warp effect, it looks cheesy and gives the impression that we're going much faster than we actually are
it was alright before. Now it's just insulting. |
