Why in the hell does a forge gun miss a heavy suit? I mean seriously that target is the size of a barn and its entirely useless and seriously why is my heavy suit moving around like a crippled person, I am literally tripping over every rock sump and step. I mean we're 20k years in the future and we're supposed to be so highly advanced yet I am sure me and my buff self could do better job than this pos suit. My suits should be assisting me aim for amarr's sake!
Also why in the heck does my forge gun does not have the same range as the sniper rifles? Aren't they both railguns?
Finally CCP! Why are you taking so effing forever for the next build and fixing these stupid issues CCP!? If you don't fix these dust will die!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Rampant AI's that can get hacked and basically twist the suit's head around and off.
One of the main reasons we don't use the first generation Aegis proto-suits anymore, they where suspect-able to rogue drone hacking.
As for the forge gun.
Its not a railgun its a heavily modified mining bore blaster. Uses a very powerful electrical charge to de-harmonize materials in a nice bore hole shape, and in a most ore rocks and veins this would shatter an asteroid apart into easy to manage peice after a few blasts.
As for hitting a sniper, aim better. Its the whole reason your body has been programmed to handle any weapon. You still need actual experience with the weapon in order to utilize it to its best use.

Dropsuits are more like diving suits, they're very tight fitting and even have plumbing connections!
Then the armor padding is placed then woven in is all the circutry and power and systems such as shields and sensors, then armor plating, Only the heavy suit has additional servos mostly in the back and arms and legs for lifting. |

Hence the gravity generated core for the kinetic damage :P Its not exactly a black hole gun but its pretty close for the limited tech we have now. |

Suits are self contained, they recycle water and waste and keep life hazards out. They're all space capable as well with estimate endurance of several hours. As for food... I am pretty sure I was told to shoot self if I ever felt hungry until we're allowed to take the helmets off.
All suits are powered by the Amarrian Micro-fusion reactor tech modifed by the empires for their own suits. Shields are magnetic ion based for the moment but its likely to be scattered out to the individual technologies of the empires.
And yes there is protien pastes, food of the masses, gallente started the fad even though most of its citizentry can afford much better caldari of course are not fans of the stuff but should be imo since its efficient use of biomass. Remember we're quite capable of massing a couple humans to make your clone bodies so stuff like human waste into usable foodstuff is only a hop skip and jump away. |

Its is a hybrid weapon, just the gravity generated is sufficient enough to have mass. It just causes a large amount of kinetic damage unlike most traditional energy weapons which causes thermal and explosive like damage. |

Why would this be a trolling thread? I threw it up here because my shots were missing by stupid margins because I'm trying to avoid being hit by a tank. I'm not saying I shouldn't miss at all, but it's stupid to call it a powered exo suit if the case is such that I can't hit at all while I'm trying to avoid being hit. Maybe they should just give us a medieval suit of armor and leave it at that, since so many people want the heavy class removed from Dust. Because, that is their end game with so many nerfs, which is the same thing they want done with tanks. Dropsuits aren't powerd exo suits ... Last I remember reading, the guns in Dust are powerful enough that they would rip off the arm of someone shooting them without suit, so considering they're so powerful, how aren't they powered exo suits? With what you said, they're no better than today's SCUBA dry suits.
