I'm actually curious how a "you can only call vehicles in behind your team's redline" rule would work. |

Wanna explain that? Unless you are behind your team's redline constantly with your dropship (in which case you should be getting your ass kicked) then the RDV's will cease to hit you, plus it would reduce vehicle spam. |

I was under the impression the ability to call down OBs behind the enemy team's redline was going to be removed in the next build. |

But it would prevent you spawning vehicles at objectives and it would just mean that all the vehicle spam is now concentrated in one area |

BUT, when I personally call in an LAV, I almost always do it because it would be a convenience, not because I absolutely need it. It would prevent people like me spamming vehicles for convenience, and people that actually need their vehicles can go to the safe zone where there are no enemies to kill them. (it would also remove a lot of "he stole my vehicle!" QQ that crops up so often.) |

Honestly no offense meant but how often do you fly? It's basically all I do and I can tell you it has little bearing where you are at any given time. You could be in a 'safe' area or just passing through, the RDV's fly in from far enough away. They materialize out of nowhere, full speed. You can't constantly watch 360 degrees to try to dodge one of them if your ship even accelerated fast enough (worse now after all nerfs too).
And they get you coming and going. There's no rhyme or reason to what direction they choose to come in, or what direction they exit in, or how high they might fly between those points.
Bird strikes might not seem like a common occurrence but in airlines they happen. Now imagine the bird is another airplane. 5x your size in uncontrolled airspace. Within a confined area to begin with. These things constantly wreck anyone indiscriminately.
I called in a lav and accidentally killed a pilot last night from half a map away. Friendly.
It has nothing to do with red zone or blue zone. Height, stationary, etc. It's just that no matter where you are or what you're doing, you're liable to be hit by these insane things and it will kill you.
Try predicting the flightpath of 30 people calling in random vehicles from all over a map at any given point within a limited field of vision in a vehicle that can't maneuver to dodge half of them anyways given their size, speed, and trajectory. Also being materialized inside of is annoying |

This has to do with being in flight. In flight collisions, not the other half where they smash your ship into the ground on clear terrain or two teammates call in vehicles in the same area. etc. |

The after burner wasn't nerfed, in fact you can go just as fast and even higher than before. They just changed it again. |

What, in the last 10 hours?
Another un-noted hot fix of those sorts of mechanics?
You confuse me by saying it wasn't nerfed. If I understand you correctly it was nerfed, but then it was unnerfed today. I'm too busy to check till tonight. Unless you are teh trollz |

Thanks for wasting my time. I checked and the AB is still nerfed to sub-uselessness. Why did you even bother posting this? Are you ignorant or something worse? |

As a private pilot I can attest to the fact that uncontrolled fields are far more dangerous than those with a control tower to manage traffic.
At uncontrolled airports there are standard traffic patterns to follow and everyone is expected to announce their position and intentions on a common radio channel. The battlefield may have an even higher concentration of manned aircraft, but it also has a huge number of uncontrolled drones (RDV) that do not follow any protocols, do not announce their position, and don't exercise the basic rules of "see and avoid". In fact they cloak until they are well in the active airspace so you can't watch for them if you tried.
I would expect at the very least that friendly craft including drones would be painted on the TacNet, cloaked or not. That information would be relayed via self position reporting to a central air traffic control center for the battlefield. We have just such a system being implemented today (ADS-B), so there is no reason an advanced tech can't have it.
I would further expect that drones would make some effort to avoid friendly aircraft. |

I'v been flying dropships since the begining of time in this game.. and lost aproximatly 10M isk (+/- 30 ships) exactly like this. in air colision with an RDV. this is simply adding to the list of ALL the things that make flying dropship a total HELL of frustrations... |
