So when we get the abitlty to take over districts and do other things as well there needs to be a Live news feed to go and look at perhaps in the war room or in the merc room.
When checking the News we can see what corps just took over what district who lost that district see if any corps lose all there districts (if thats possible)
Not all the players read the forums or check Dust related websites daily so this will give them a chance to find out what is going on.
Also patch notes and release information and extended down time. can be put in a CCP section of the news. |

funny, I was just talking about this yesterday. there should be a live ticker that only CCP can edit, to update us on live events (so they don't have to keep warning us ahead of time), and possibly something about district shifts.
I'm picturing a cross between CNN's ticker, and ESPN's game score live feed. |

Not only would it be good in terms of veteran players getting to know what happened but would help the newberries a ton in figuring out what happened.

The news would also take weekly interviews from corps and such. Maybe those interviews can even be listen to in real time as they happen.
If not real time then a post to the interview in the news would be fine |

I forget what thread it was in, but one of the devs said they might try to put news into the star map so you can see recent news and where it's happening. |

There are billboards on both sides of the stargates in eve that displays WANTED pics of pirates and the occasional Quafe Commercial. The same could be done in the War Room and or in our Merc Quarters, but with Leaderboard info, "whose attacking who" or something of the sort. |

new and improved star map might do this... maybe
well at least it would show who owns what. |
