In the Eve CSM, every candidate specializes in a specific role and profession but it still responsible knowing everything else about Eve Online and its intricacies as well as the political and economic aspect of it. This way, everyone in the council can contribute to a topic discussed while avoiding any ideas that can potentially harm the game.
I expect the same for each and every Dust candidate. Every candidate should know everything and anything about Dust. If you are specialized in corp management, you can stick to that topic to drive your point, but you are expected to know everything else as well including economics, assault rifles, scouts, etc. so that you have something to contribute to the other council members.
Don't know anything about New Eden economics? Don't know anything about Scouts, Heavies, Logis or Assaults? Sorry, no vote for that person. Agree on all said but one thing. Prior knowledge to New Eden economics, mainly b/c that eliminates the console players that dont play EvE. Yes if they have some idea good, but ability to learn should be allowed as well, as there are probably people who only play Dust that dont play EvE that would make great CSMs (dust side). But yes, knowing how suits, weapons, maps all "work" is something that is highly necessary for being one the war council
Why can't a "console" player be considered?
Surely dust is mainly for console players, not just for eve players who have decided to slum it on a ps3.
It's A bit narrow minded to rule them out because they have no background in eve.
I'm sure they can learn about eve, their proberly doing it as we speak.
I'd personally like to have someone with a similar background to myself on the board to represent the fps fans who haven't got a history In eve. The average blue collared clone..
Don't forget, fleet does the flyin, infantry does the dyin =] |

Don't forget, fleet does the flyin, infantry does the dyin =] This is not a War Council Of People Who Know Nothing About The EVE Universe. CCP wants input on subjects that include, to a large part, on integration between EVE and DUST. You _don't_ want the meetings to include questions like; "So how does reinforcement timers actually work?"
Lol but its only eve, not brain surgery.
Going by your logic everyone on the eve cms should have detailed knowledge of the inner workings of dust but I'm sure they don't.
Not everyone.needs detailed knowledge of eve. Like I said, I want someone in it who represents the MAJORITY of players in dust.
