I made my character with a group of friends to play but they are inactive now and i would like the chance to change my name without starting over because i made a mistake in calling it something dumb ...  just an idea but i would love the opportunity to rename the character just once when the full game is released if possible |

We may only change names if the change is cosmetic only (changing the case of a letter for example) or in specific situations (such as an offensive name) or if the change is requested very soon after a character has been created.
Here is the naming policy for EVE Online as it is very likely to apply as well for DUST 514:

But your name goes perfectly with your corp. But yes, I would also like to have that option. I made my name during closed beta when I thought it was going to be wiped or something. |

Given that our PSN names are shown in our info section, I dont see how this is completely similar to EVE. You can change your name as many times as you want or create as many alts as you want but your PSN isnt changing. |

Thanks dude n i know its a bit of a mad request but i put the merc pack into this character and a lot of time really
Just fed up with the name i just want my psn name as the dust 514 character name to keep things simple but overall its a wicked game and cant wait for ATACS :) |

Do you have an Alt named SNATCH LICKER by any chance?
That one shows up in my local from time to time and I am waiting for the day when their S.O. wants to watch them play this game DUST that occupies so much of their time. |

That is why the Permanent pieces from the Merc Pack and any spent AUR will disappear when you Terminate a character. Go ahead, Terminate. Everything is gone to DUST.
Weird ideas for sure but they are amazingly consistent about. For better or worse, I suspect they aren't going to change. |
