I have to disagree with the 'magnetic aiming box', as that's just silly and cuts out almost any player skill in actually aiming. Plus if you get near groups, issues would become apparent.
Laser rifles I agree are very powerful, but I think they're fine the way they are right now. Maybe a slight reduction to damage in CQC ranges, but that's about it.
Nova Knives don't really need the base damage increase. If you get basic weaponry skills you can one hit assaults...rather I think the proficiency and operations skills should be swapped [Maken Tosch makes mention of this issue I believe]. The only thing I really think the Nova Knives need is a 'charge and sprint' feature, which the Devs have mentioned will be added soon. |

... Do you know how Laser Rifles work, Batman? They are Not Good in CQC. If you can get closer than their lower effective range they are toast. If one gets too irritating I get close enough to be safe from their extreme damages then take them out with anything at hand. Even pistol whipped a few to death.
I do, actually. I even use them myself, so I know how they work; wouldn't have brought that up if I never used the things. Still doesn't stop people from using them in CQC, which can be effective if you're good enough. I've had people tear through me within reasonable close distances. Ranges where they are supposedly not effective at.
I'm not QQ'ing or screaming nerf. Just one or two points in damage relative to the distance to reinforce the fact it's a longer range weapon.
By the by Maken, I've been reading your Nova Knife diaries, and I've gotta say I've been having a wonderful time reading them all since you started up in closed. Actually inspired me to test out a nova knife fit myself, and I've been having one hell of a time with it. So thanks o7 |
