This game is incredibly stale and boring the LOLEVENTS are stupid and nobody really cares about them outside of a few nerds. The only thing people honestly care about in this game is SP. Therefore this game needs an uncapped SP weekend with increased rewards to somewhat shake up things up.

If I could turn all of my likes into No's, there still wouldn't be enough to go around.
Hard caps are good. All that giving you unlimited SP does is stroke your ego for a weekend, put you farther ahead of those who don't have that kind of free time, and then you go right back to crying on the forums.
Even SP gains each week are what we need for the longevity of this game. I complain and whine right now because it's been a year of testing, but I know that things are on their way and being worked on. Content will come. If the game is boring, either take a break or troll some blueberries. |

All the hard cap did was perpetuate the current powers in DUST and ensure the fact that new players will never be able to compete. Uncapping the SP for a week would give new players the opportunity to get a few more critical skills (which would allow them to compete) and it would also allow people to begin work on their second specialization, or even rectify critical mistakes made in the beginning of this build by specing into a proto scout and realizing it's worthless. |

The only thing an SP cap does is to keep new players from EVER being able to compete with vets. If the SP cap were removed then those who could put hours a day into the game could catch up with those who have been here for awhile. Likewise those who have been here for awhile could put hours a day into the game and remain ahead. If you can put more time into the game then you should be able to get the SP to show that. |

Anyone advocating removal of the cap for any period of time is forgetting one important truth - people who already max out their characters will only extend their lead on everyone else if given unchecked growth.
You think you'll catch someone playing 24/7 if you let them get uncapped SP? Even if you played 24/7, they'd still be millions of SP ahead of you.
I've never bought a booster of any kind and am behind most top players by about 2 - 3 million SP AFAIK but I still compete just fine. Hell, I come top 5 in almost every match. Dust will soon be reaching the point where the top SP players have reached as far as they can get in certain disciplines and no amount of SP will make them better at using an AR or Scout suit or whatever they specced up first - this will be the plateau we will see happening. They will be able to diversify, sure but they won't outskill people in specifications. |
