Any corp that wants to hold a considerable amount of territory will need a lot of manpower behind it. While a good 50 player corp could probably hold a single district effectively, anything more than that I would imagine to be really difficult. Hell, a small 5 district planet (the smallest planet size) alone would probably require about 300 dedicated players to hold (in case of multiple attacks). Even with a good 300 players, I'd say holding one of the largest planets (which I believe can have upwards of 16 districts?) would be a significant challenge, and may in fact be impossible.
To summarize, I'd say any corp that wants to build an empire would need lots and lots of members. So I don't find PRO's approach to be all that crazy.
Anyway, everyone's saying they received threats from CBJ's recuritment messages? I honestly don't remember any threats at all, and I joined like 2 weeks ago :s I joined because I wanted to join an active corp, and I've stayed cause I like being able to join a friendly 4 player squad any time I decide to log on and play. Honestly if I felt there was a threat in the message I probably would not have joined at all.
There was definitely a threat but thats beside the point.
The initial launch will have 250 districts available for control though this will probably increase as the game ramps up. If the top 30 corps claim about 80% of the districts, that would put it at about 6-7 districts per corp. |

Which begs the question why "Why bother 'ganking' our districts?". Looks like there will be plenty to go around. Which begs yet another question "Do you need to organize a massive alliance to coordinate our eminent demise?" When I say "you" I mean the OP and his cohorts, I have nothing against you KC.
Seems to me it's overkill for such a trashy corp such as ourselves, right? The obviously most capabe corps such as imperfects, internal error, Unreal, and pfbhz sound have no problem dealing with us on their own right?
I do hope pfbhz gets an alliance soon, I'd like to see them comfortable in a district with the rest of us. Can always join our alliance guys, no hard feelings.

I like my corporation.
Having had an audition for PFBHz, I could never get in a squad and was often forced to sit there going "Can I play too?" Also, little help/direction was given and this was when someone else was even on.
Red Colonial Marines: was a good corp when it was on and I could squad up. Sadly, my schedule didn't fit with the Aussies so I was often solo anyways or stuck with someone trying to tell me how great this vs that was... I know what I'm doing, thanks.
PRO - I am only not in a squad when I don't want to be in one, otherwise I'm always able to either snag three others and work to train them up, or brought on board and valued by an existing squad.
Fret about your KDR and e-peen size all you want, but I have fun with this corp and intend to stick around. I was also in it during the closed beta and remember stomping match after match with them. I lost them after the wipe and figured I'd try a few others first before coming back.
As for the spam, whatever.. at least he was trying to get folks. No different than the others that still do it. Also, at least he's giving newberries some place to join a corp instead of just making w(h)ine by stomping them.
:P~
