I must say: CCP you've pioneered into an almost unexplored field which is Keyboard And Mouse for the PS3, and that earns you big points. Oh and the song during connection is really nice. Sadly though, it's like putting two roses over a pile of elephant ****, to make it look pretty.
1) BAD HALF ASSED CONQUEST: average scoreboard kills per match 5 (3 average deaths). FIVE, dude. A round lasts what? 15 minutes? There's more action in a hearts multiplayer game. FIX: Make sequential control points, instead of the ridiculous and imbecile all over the map **** that's in place now, regardless of whoever thought was a good idea. This is possibly the only fix that you need to save this pile of garbage that is dust, from complete trainwreckage. Seriously, anybody actually dumping their $$$ on this garbage?
2) BAD, SPREAD ACTION: You spend your life running around like an imbecile, all over the map, just looking for somebody to shoot. That, or you spawncamp. I seriously can't think of any unreal tournament engine based fps with so much fail. FIX: make spawnpoints advance with captured points automatically. Depends on point 1.
3) BAD, UNREGULATED VEHICLE COMBAT: spawncamp with a tank: 40/0! even when enemies try to take you down (basic anti vehicular is absolute **** against a long range camper with basic tank or dropship, for example. Only an idiot developer and game content manager would not see this. FIX: Add anti vehicular weapon slots to medium armo
4) BAD, STUPID MAP NAVIGATION: seriously, this is unconceivable. You see a mark on your map, 5 meters away, but you can't possibly figure out how to get there. Real games put an outline of the buildings in the radar for you. dust doesn't have it, since it's obviously not even pretending or wanting to become a real game. Oh and what about a ******* COMPASS? There is none! You need to turn like an imbecile to determine which direction to follow, after you look at the map. Don't even get me started about the inaccessible areas, the steep surfaces! LOL FIX: fire your mapmaker supervisor. hire somebody who's not a complete imbecile that played ANY game EVER, add structure overlays to maps, and create a tool that flattens sharp edges and steep surfaces.
5) ONE SHOT KILLS: real games have usually just snipers to annoy real players with their two shot kills. but dust designers imbecility is SPECIAL. Special as in ******** special. You have 'railguns', and 'shotguns' too! Triple fail! FIX: adjust damage, accuracy and rate of fire so that these weapons are on par with the others.
6) "MAPS": yeah that's quoted. there's what, three maps total? SERIOUSLY I'm not even typing what's the fix for this. Gotta guess ccp stopped investing on this title, all in all, and with ******* reason. I'd not be surprised to know that they didn't even earn back a tenth of the investment, given the miserable game they've come up with.
CCP: same or worse **** after a year, just with nicer graphics. |
