Yes, you heard right. There is a way to cure the black screen bug.
Simply have a teammate drive a vehicle over to you and let you know when to press O. Voila, you can now see...but don't leave the car, you will still have no gun or equipment and you will look as if you're taking a leisurely stroll through the battlefield. It's like a little vacation for your merc...well until he dies at least...
Also, if you happen to die whilst in the black screen of death, you will be able to see and walk around again (see above) if you happen to get rezzed.

Can you gain access to the Supply Depot to switch out fits? Wonder if that will work. |

1-press down on d-pad
2-open neocom
3-open dropsuit fittings
4-press O until you are out

There is actually a faster way. Press down on the d-pad like you said but open up the player list using up on the d-pad. Now close it all down and you should be able to see. You can change suits and get into vehicles but can never shoot with a gun. However the hilarity that is running at people with no gun never ends. |

You beast! I just went 4 to 8 with the black screen glitch, all you need is a vehicle!
Hacked 3 enemy jeeps & one objective too.
Done it with style, walked like a penguin on crack and jumped like a rocket!  |
