CCP FoxFour wrote:A version of the fleet finder for squads... I like. I hope we get something like this. Been begging for a Platoon Finder or something.
It would also be great if there could be a grouping mechanic similar to EVE fleets where we can decide ahead of time who is in what squads and what roles and role out together. This will be especially useful with the new PC mode. |

Preapproved lists for entry into any corporation function will allow managing larger organization much better since you wont have to worry about some random corp/alliance mate jumping in when you didnt want them to.
Additonally can be a temporary way of mercing contracts perhaps?
There additionally needs to be a direct invite to squad option from the chat room--->this is basic FPS lobby function. Add to that ability to invite psn friends to dust squad from psn is nice but not completely needed.
Beyond that OP hit the other stuff on the head pretty well.
As far as addtional corp tools its hard to manage corp console side and i dont see how you can make it ever as effective as EVEgate or the actual game client in some of the things i can do (mass mails and moderating chats for a start). It would amazing if you could create a webbased client that essentially a stripped down eve client that contains just the mail, corp, and chat tabs.
All the other stuff can be handled in game me thinks. If its not expensive to do a robust client like EVE for DUST PC/MAC side then do it but idk so i would never expect that.
I understand the vita app to some extent will do this but not sure if you are exclusive to sony on app creation because a android/iphone app can go a long way too.
And lastly whatever you do with the app and system create a evegate for dust please.
As far as consoleside management, allow for a mouse input override function where when turned on it displays a mouse currsor and function like it would on a PC. (not sure if this even possible). Add in the keyboard functionality as well and you are set. Everyone who complains they have to use Kb/M to do this well yea i dont see you simplifying AND making it efficient using the controller. And its not like people cant get this stuff for $15 for both or grab them from their home desktops. |

I'd rather have a way to be able to create lists or organization within the corp chat channel. Similar to how you can have a folder inside a folder, these "subgroups" could be named whatever and only be created and deleted by the corp directors. Then after they are created, players can be added to these groups and will show up at the top of the list of players in chat under the respective headings.
This way, any corp member can see precisely what kind of leadership is online, and who to go to when looking for a squad.
Also, these groups can also be made up of players that play often with each other, players that are of a certain role (heavy, logi, scout, etc), or even just to differentiate between players that like ambush or skirmish more.
The more organization when it comes to communication in corp, the better. |

Custom chat channels are probably your best bet for this. What happens for people already in a match? Or in a squad? Who becomes squad leader? Or all sorts of things. Chat channel means you can easily see who is online and easily invite them to a squad when you are ready to play together.
On a related note who do we prod to get a higher level of chat channel optimization? Any more than six (three of which are used by local, corp, squad) and the client starts to lag rather quickly (relative term, in this case meaning within 45 min to 2 hours) so much that matches become unplayable. Lack of ability to maintain multiple chats is currently a hindering factor for both social connections (keeping personal chats for groups of players) and alliance/diplomatic work.
Sorry for the semi-off topic but it's an issue that many Mercs have spoken of within my sphere of interaction and I thought it was important to note.

Any word on this coming to DUST Uprising? Was it mentioned at fanfest? This is super important. We need it to manage our corporation's more effectively. |

Levi McDaniel wrote:This is an amazing thread, I'm surprised it doesn't have more hits, this is a crucial part of gameplay that needs to be implemented asap. Corporate Espionage is already starting to grow within DUST and I think this would be a useful tool.
I think we should have Boxes to check the same as Baal Roo, we have it on EVE and I was more than happy to step down from my director position because I had practically the same roles. Something like a member questionairre that is required, a list of checkboxes that tells the CEO what your specialty is. Mine would be "Sniper, Brawler, AV, Professional Distraction, Logibro, LogiSniper, Heavy with a lazor, Heavy with an explosive sniper rifle" Yes i use all of those. |
