The announcement for Planetary Conquest was pretty good. It gives us a sense of the scale and ambition of the game. However, many people are disappointed with the lack of a reasonable release date.
Fanfest is on April 25-27. About a month and a half from now.
If this is when the new build will be announced/released, then there's problems. The game is dying out right now. It's been 5-6 months since any massive changes, 8+ if you account for the fact that Precursor and Codex didn't do much except apply a coat of paint and add a few new things. E3 was the last major build, and slightly disappointing due to the lack of Skirmish 1.0, the 2 part map, and major flattening.
Thing is, people are bored. Some things in the game are flat-out broken and extremely frustrating, and have been for the duration of both closed and open beta. Combo that with the lack of a release date for the next build, and things aren't looking good. |

QFT. How newberries play this game for more than a day or two is literally beyond me. |

Your definition of instant is quite strange.

I've seen some amazing parts of the game completely erased during the year or so I've played of it. I'v been waiting the rest of the time wondering what's to come, playing the same 2.5 modes for 8 months, on the same maps from about a year ago, with the only good map completely taken out of the game (crater lake was the only map actually designed, no just randomly generated). |

I don't think it's that, early in the beta it was pretty decent and unique, I don't know what happened, but it just deteriorated for me since the E3 build. |

Fanfest to me is unacceptable.
Last patch was on polish....OK, but your telling me it takes you over 6 months to bring in new content.

What will be happening for the next month or so will be the gathering of isk and mastery of ways of fighting that makes warfare possible and profitable. Also I could see them turning on the new FW tomorrow.
What we now know is that the minimum cost of a single death on the battlefield is 100k isk+. Minimizing loss is going to be HUGE. |

I'm definetaly not one of these eldar-dusters, but the time I'm playing, I've spent a lot of time with this game, and I really really do like this game. But the major problem is it feels dead, already. I can show patience for sure, but for this I have to be given some informations. I just want to know for which date are which changes thought to be done. Thats all, keep the community updated. We are mostly all grown up men and just don't want to kitten here around like some kis, spreading rumors and stuff, al this behaviour is just born from this lack of informations. There are just 2 kinds of reactions on such a lack, either trolling, or even worse, silence.
Nobody knows exactly when or even if there will be a next build, hope is not dead yet, but it kinda gets lame to wait for the next rumors maybe satisfying us for the next 10 seconds. |

Strafe speed was nerfed for scrubs who couldn't aim. Most of those whiners now use KBM anyways. Part of the nerf was to fix hit detection. Duct tape ftw.
Entire game got nerfed because scrubs cried about proto smashing noobs. CCP could have just implented a match making system not made by a special needs student. More duct tape. |

lol Agreed. Yet the nerf makes the Proto > All smash even more obvious. |

Only thing I can possibly think of is since they want to add Planetary Conquest in the next build they have to have enough districts to support that. And didn't they say they were aiming for around 250 when PC arrives? Even if the maps are more generated than designed that must take awhile. |

Is the lag of urgency that is annoying me. I know you guys will say ; "But this is a Beta !!". Yes is an "Open Beta", every Open Beta i been in, lasted not longer than a couple of months, some times even lest then that. I'm no sure how many people is going to be around after Defiance is released....
I want to give this game a chance, because i believe in the potential that it have ....But i can't help feeling that CCP is not taking things as seriously as they should. And sadly, the community is going to slowly die, before CCP realize that they need to do more "Faster tm", not "Later tm". |

And sadly, the community is going to slowly die, before CCP realize that they need to do more "Faster tm", not "Later tm". That's because most open betas are for server stress tests, not actually tweaking gameplay mechanics. Honestly I'm not sure why CCP even decided to make the beta open to all so early, since most people associate open beta with near-finished product which this is not. All it's doing is building a bad reputation for itself. |
