It's impressive how often people have to put down pro to reassure themselves that they are making the right choices here in Dust. Seems people are almost as afraid of them as they are the Imps, just for different reasons, based on how much effort everyone exerts trying to convince each other they aren't afraid of them. |

Depends on what metrics you're using. Clearly OSG is going to have a much tighter and organized force. Their smaller contributions to the universe will be more coordinated and what they do HAVE or ATTACK will nr a more challenging fight (on average).
On the other hand, it's going to be a lot harder to cut off the head of PRO. Their talent is spread a bit thinner, but don't underestimate a semi-casual player's ability to do "well enough" to make the random battle to take a random district from their conglomerated holdings a real pain in the ass. They are going the attrition route.
it will certainly be interesting to see how every corp's different meta-game strategies play out long term. |

lowsec will be blue donut of scrub corps
My definition of a scrub corp is one that sucks at the metagame. If you just want to see who's got the best muscle memory, go play CoD.
Owning massive tracts of land without imploding under the weight, THAT takes real talent. |

Owning massive tracts of land without imploding under the weight, THAT takes real talent. I have been doing that in eve just fine for last 7 years. CCP is just making this planetsim514 because thats all they know how to do. in an fps where the corp battles are only 16 v 16 you dont need 1000 people be talented. Then again average players in eve hide behind numbers too. Guess its true in dust now
a planet will have anywhere from 5 to 24 districts, all of which will be vulnerable for one hour a day. If you want to even own a single planet you'll need AT LEAST a few hundred guys, 16 dudes willing to be on call 24/7, or pay out most of your earnings to contract others to fight for you at a premium

Now seriously: Numbers have their advantages. You can either have a "select few" corp where everyone is elite, but you don't have great numbers, or you have a "everyone with a gun is welcome!" corp where your numbers are very high but the elites are few and far in between. Or you can have a balance
Also very true. People are so quick to defend their own corp's decisions that they get either very defensive, or very offensive with the corps that don't share their strategy. Frankly, after months upon months of it, it's beginning to wear a bit thin for my tastes. We can all argue over who has the best strategy (frankly, I think Subdreddit and Zion aren't all that different, you may disagree), or we can recognize that all the talk isn't worth a hill of beans. When it's time to walk the walk we'll see who's left standing. Until then, these insult threads just go to illustrate who is afraid of who. Take the Intel for what it's worth, the small corps seem to be afraid of what PRO's blob warfare strategy will mean for them. |
