I enjoy lore things but they should make sense from how I am reading it one side wants to protect the clone mercs and the other destroy them yet both use them?

I understand the whole we aren't people thing its just the whole some dude want all clones dead so he hires clones to do it thing that confuses me I understand this is due to ingame constraints as with no PVE yet a battle where only one side has clones is just an opportunity to LAV race. I suppose I am reading to much into it really.

well, since we don't get to choose, and he wants all of us dead, why not "accidentally" hire some of us to do the killing(and dieing) for him.

If you love the State, then it is in your best interests for this invasion to fail. If Tibus Heth's paranoid warmongering proceeds, it will lead to the ruination of both sides, including the Caldari State. If, however, this invasion winds up being a major embarrassment for Heth, then the Corporate Congress (or whatever it is you call it) will have more leverage to remove him and replace him with a leader who is just as capable and less crazy.
