So I was watching a pretty epic video here. And couldn't help but notice how advantageous that spot on top of B was where PFBH had an uplink and Tryhard514 spawned 3-4 times.
Now I'm pretty sure links are destroyed on the ground by orbital strikes, and definitely should be by laser strikes. There may not have been a likely strike directly on top of B unless STB was trying to eliminate the couple of guys perched up there, but I didn't know if there was an attempt or not since it was hard to tell from the vid.
I DO know that I've been on that map, and OBSed elevated positions, but people (and uplinks) were not destroyed.
To be fair to PFBH, by the time Goons and ROFL had superiority in the sky it looked like it was tipping in favor of PFBH anyway, but it was still pretty close, and taking out the uplink on the top of B would have been a large part of turning the battle in their favor.
So...community...did PFBH win because of a bug/tactical error/ or a combination...? And is CCP working on the OBS strike mechanics of this? |

OOOOOHhh! I see what you were getting at! I'll get around to fixing it...Anyway... So who thinks STB would have won if this bug wasn't here? Also, what did PFBH get for winning and did everyone in the corp get some or was it just the special people who got chosen to play? |

Ahh good info! So that makes me wonder if those missile turrets on top make it harder or easier to get another DS up there?
BTW, I think everything is going to change once we get deployable installations. |
