Hi,
I am using a five button regular USB laser mouse (though I don't know if I can use the fourth and fifth buttons yet) and a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard case which is meant for an iPad but I use it for everything. I have them (and my controller) sitting on a "tilt-a-table" from Canadian tire, a folding table meant for studying or eating while watching TV. I put a desk chair in front of the couch so I have a more desk-like sitting position. I got the table on sale for $12 from Canadian Tire.
I found that with my full size keyboard there was no room on the small table to move the mouse, and moving to a coffee table (which is sitting in my storage room) isn't an option for me because that would mean leaning forwards the entire time I'm playing. That's fine for a quick 10 minute ambush, but no good for the long stretch.
Any other setups out there? I'm curious what people have come up with. |

I have a wired mouse and keyboard because i have about 6 feet of space from my couch to tv.
However even with a wireless setup it would be the same thing. First i use my kb only for typing, i use a move navigation controller($20) or you can use the left half of the DS3 if you can get confortable with it. If you get the move navi just remember to reassign the controller to 2, then 1 after you load the client. It starts at 7, if you reassign it directly to 1 the ds3 gets swapped to 7 and becomes nonfunctional.
Anyway i have my mouse on right cough cushion while i sit in middle. You could in theory keep the kb on lap and the mouse on your right. The key is to elevate the mouse. I dont have a proper gamepad for my mouse yet but i use the skyrim collectors edition guide because its dark and is matte so no issue with tracking. if you do have a mouse pad place it on a book that is approximately 1-1.5 inches thick or whatever thickness you desire so that you can roll up a towel under your forearm for stability and still not have to reach to much downward on your wrist to grip the mouse. |

I eventually just gave up and play it on a computer monitor at my desk. I use a powered USB hub to switch controls from PC to PS3. Don't have any sound though, which kind of sucks. But it's worked well so far. |

I'm curious about this, too. My laptop table + wine rack sidetable setup was so cumbersome that I just went back to the controller. |

I sit just a few feet from my TV on a couch. I just use an oversized clear plastic bin lid, from one of those large "tupperware" containers like you store blankets or whatever in. I set my keyboard and mousepad/mouse on there and there's even enough room to set the DS3 to quickly dispatch orbitals or whatever.
I looked around at a lot of stuff but a big flat storage bin lid on your lap works great, albeit a bit ghetto. |

I've got a little lounge chair sitting a few feet in front of my little crt tv. Then slightly in front and off to the right I have a regular chair with an old vcr sitting on it to sit the mouse on. I keep the keyboard on my knees and the ds3 sitting on my right leg in case I need it. |

I've never tried to use M/KB before on a system...and I'm fairly stupid....the PS3 only has 2 USB ports, but I need to have my controller plugged in as well....does that mean I have to buy a USB extender thing to get more slots?
I for to confused @_@ |

Does your controller not hold a charge? I haven't had my controller plugged in for days and only plug it in when the battery in it actually dies which probably will be towards the end of the week.
You can either buy an extender for more slots or maybe a wireless kb/m (not sure if those work with the ps3). |

I am using one of those Laptop tables from IKEA http://www.ikea.com/us/en/images/products/dave-laptop-table__73085_PE189490_S4.jpg
The table is pulled in all the way to the couch (legs go under the couch and the table hangs over the couch) I sit in the left corner of the couch, with my left elbow resting on the couch's arm rest, leveled with the keyboard (adjust the table height accordingly) Now, to give my right elbow support, i stuff a large pillow under it.
The table is not huge, so the keyboard is actually angled slightly (i use the keyboard's footrests to "hook" into the hole in the table so that it doesn't move. The mouse ends up being somewhat below the keyboard, on a mouse pad.
Mouse and keyboard are wireless (uses 1 USB spot on PS3 for the dongle), and the DS3 controller remains wired (to avoid the "Please reconnect controller 1" message) |

I have a Logitech wireless kb+m and a wireless controller. I sit in a very comfy recliner with very wide armrests. I sit the controller on the left, keyboard on a pillow on my lap and the mouse on a mousepad on the right. |

I bought a USB port with 6 slots and then bought a USB K/M. I went USB because it would suck if it ran out of 'juice' when playing in the middle of batle! I have it set up on a small table in front of my T.V. The only down fall is the wires! WIRES everywhere. Its an easy fix but Im too lazy to care and I live alone so who cares really! |
