Alliance chat + MOTD in the Dust client (even if the MOTD's are different than the EVE ones)
Alliance chat is very important and does need to be added to the game badly :) MOTD with independant to eve and dust would be great with options to change both at same time be very useful

This is mostly because the information for the Dust guys isn't going to be as useful for the EVE guys and vice versa. Example: POS coming out of reinforced at 0100 evetime is meaningless to Dust in the same way that Corp Battle Scheduled for 0100 evetime is meangingless to EVE. But it is much easier to modify this stuff from the EVE client, so I'd like to be able to change it from there.
Is there a clock in Dust...? Am I missing something? I know you can see battle times in the corp battle view, but other than that, what is there? |

This gives me a larger context for them. By enabling not just CCP and ISD, but also my Alliance and Corp to post news items with geotagging, the starmap news becomes even more relevant to my experience. Ooooo I like this idea. Some really cool things could be done with this. I will pass this on to others. :D
You'd think eve online would have this by now too... and the star map on the website. |

The supposed draw of Dust is that it's not just a currently mediocre shooter, but a game attached to a persistent, constantly active world full of player-instigated events. Give mercs as much insight into this as possible. Let them get to know the Eve universe, even if they can't directly impact it yet. A sense of place within the universe. That's what is going to ensure the long term survival of Dust as a concept, not adding more guns to what is (charitably) the skeleton of an Unreal mod that drops from 30fps to 5fps at the times you need it most to not do that. |

I have found it harder to explain to new player how big the EVE-DUST universe is without the star-map..... When we had it i could just say, you are on THAT planet, THAT is the system YOU are in, and THAT is the star cluster you are in, pilots orbiting the planet can drop OB on us... But now its just like: -can you imagine the solar system?, ok, well EVE is a million times bigger!!! its just a lot of pew pew in space!!! with ships!!!
We really need this to assure players they are part of something bigger, its hard to see the MMO part of the game if you only see or are aware of 36 guys, at top... Maybe even how many people are in you solar system at the moment... (it doesn-Št have to be real just make us believe it is)
-We need to know who owns that planet or system, the sectors of the planet if posible. -The resources that planet has, or why is it important to capture. -MAYBE some history on the top planets. (ejem: Planet "X" was once home to the minmitar but they had to abandon it because of it got too rusty)
