Despite the negative aspects of Dusters early printing, it has actually come a long way and worked hard to improve the quality of both its writing and the quality of its contributors.
It often takes a more Role-play focus for a lot of its stories, which often lead to adding details and backgrounds to large fights that don't exist. Then end result is drama and intrigue, but these things are good for the health of the game.
Rather than reading X corp fought Y corp and one of them won, Dusters puts out an interesting story that makes a good read. Making this news interesting helps draw people from outside the game into the story of Dust 514 and does no harm to the organizations involved.
Heck, I've even been featured in dramatized articles during the Dust AFK stuff.

This has helped, along with Deadeye's forum thread, bring the AFK sp farming issue to the developer's attention and it is being addressed.
They have started to bring real issues in Dust to the forefront and are working towards community goals. It's unfortunate that the person behind the impostor Dusters Biog (please note the 'i" ) sees it in their interest to obfuscate some of the good work that this young organization is doing. |

I'll have to give it to Dusters Biog and DustersBlog of the Gaiatic New Network for being clever for the use of the typeface on the fourms to cause confusion. Heck, I thought this was some sort of stunt at first. It's funny, but this drama is only going to drive more readers to http://dustmercs.blogspot.com/
Not really sure what Dusters Biog is trying to accomplish.

Nah, I really don't think it's Sentient Archon.
He's a classy guy that has gone out of his way to help the community. He's sponsored prizes for the tourney and has put forth sponsoring over $100 worth of prizes for the next sporting event the community can get together about. |
