Also seeing as CCP confirmed they want to make small corps/grps be able to do stuff and not just let more number = win like in EVE and lastly seeing as CCP also said zerg tactics would be terrible in fights over PODs this further puts a dent into ppls zerging-to-win policy so yea to all the corps that just plan to rely on pure numbers, might want to actually start puttin work into gettin ur players actually GOOD at the game instead of mass spamming ppl with recruitment mail With the way ccp is trying to implement district warfare it will make dust null sec the polar opposite of eve null sec. Imperfects will be the polar opposite of goons. The best who rely on skill instead of numbers. PRO will still be garbage. I hear that new eden used to about skill before goons came along with their swarm of garbage players.
Sorry but this an fps. Quality>Quantity. |

Numbers will be important just not as important as corps like PRO think or at least not in the same way they assume its gonna work.
In an FPS which suppose to be skill based having pure numbers win fights is dumb some ppl under the assumption that they can and will just zerg all districts at once or can attack at any time
not gonna work like that for obv reasons. Zerging all districts at once = numbers alone winning fights. U should be given a choice of districts and have some sort of progession/war front when u claim districts more on the planet open up so it feels like a real campaign and not just Derpity Derp we got 1500+ players lets just all mindlessly attack this planet and win cuz only way to stop it is for them to counter zerg themselves = stupid, boring gameplay that alot of EVE players already dont like in EVE and its gonna be worse for a skill based game like an FPS |

Taking a planet with 300 good players will be easier but if 200 of those players are trash then you will only take the districts those 100 good players attack. Whats the point of having all that extra fat/sheep. You are just leaving holes in your tactics. if you have garbage platoons on most of your districts then you can bet you will be losing those districts left and right. Other corps will use Sun Tzu tactics and just attack the districs they know are easy pickings.. The funny part is PROs A-team isn't even good so I don't see them holding any districts tbqh unless there are randoms in null sec. |

That's like saying EVE takes no skill because it doesn't require twitch reflexes. Its ignorance at its finest. Sorry but I had to call him out on that.

There isn't one corporation out the with their enitre corporation able to take all of us PRO. Just face it, we ARE on top, either by volume or skill, but no other Corporation has bumped us down. Until you can, you simply make yourselve's look foolish and in turn give something to smile greatly about. Thank you all for the attention you give to our Corporation and as of now, it was not us that made us the corporation to beat, but you who have granted us infinite power to effect you in any way. well i see a lot of blah blah blah. its really like a bunch of 5yr olds in a playground. yes we're a big corp, we have good players we have bad players just like every other corp. sometimes a match goes our way, sometimes it doesn't, fps gaming is equal parts skill and pure luck. the best player in the world could run round a corner in a logi suit to find a heavy with a lv5 shottie, if his connection dips a fraction of a second he's dead no matter how skilled he is.
I admit i'm not the best fps gamer, thats why am a logi, i may not get the most kills in a match but i do my best to keep my guys alive best i can wether they be PRO, IMPS, SVER, Betamax or random noob corp if you're on my team i'll do my best to get your a** back in the field, i play the game for fun and not the b******t politics and slanging matches.
I understand corp loyalty but at least try be mature about it |

There will be more skills required to succeed in Dust than simple FPS skills. If your corp doesn't have the skilled leadership necessary to actually put together more than 10 players at a time, then you don't possess the skills necessary to be a successful corp. FPS skill is important, but this is an MMO as well and if you suck at the MMO part you've only got half the equation down.
I'm neither here nor there on my opinion on PRO, the proof will be in the pudding. If you think they've got it wrong, then try to rub them out once the game releases. Talk is cheap. If you win that war, then you were right and they were wrong. |

I'm with you man. I know you guys get a lot of **** too, and it's really not that different than the **** that PRO gets, just at the opposite end of the spectrum. You might not believe this, but I've got a lot of respect for what you guys over in Negative Feedback are doing. Trust me when I say that Subdreddit is well aware of your presence and sees the value in your approach, it's just not an approach that every corp needs to take.
My point wasn't to espouse any particular philosophy, only to try and broaden the thought patterns of the narrow minded. In fact, without lots of different corps with many different goals and strategies, this game will get pretty boring pretty fast. Without the U.S. government there's no Blackwater.
It almost feels like you didn't really digest my post, and instead simply skimmed it and made an assumption based on my affiliations. Don't make the mistake of seeing "subdreddit" or "test" and thinking we are all stodgy EVE pilots. I'm a subdreddit director and haven't stepped foot on a single Eve-side ship in my life. |

I did understand your post. We are the polar opposite of PRO with exact opposite ideology. In bizarro world 9000 goons are actually 100 imps. Its going to be interesting to see how this all unfolds.
I wanted to make the point that you can't approach this game from a strictly mmo meta game stand point. Numbers, politics and meta game doesn't win gun fights. Skill wins gun fights. Meta game and politics wins wars. If those 1500 players that PRO has were any good that would be a huge achievement. Without any skill behind them their numbers and politics will only get them so far. This is an fps and if you can't win the battle how do expect to win the war? I just wanted to comment on your "half of the equation" comment.
We can adapt to the politics of new eden. Garbage player will always be garbage.
All that training really paid off considering PRO was still losing to randoms with full platoons toward the end of mags life cycle. 2 years later
I really have nothing against PRO. It just is what it is. An ideology war.
I know I play a douchbag on the forums so its hard to take me seriously The truth is most of the time I am just messing with people even though I understand what they are trying to say. |

It's not just corp loyalty, its fact.
You have 1,549 members as of this post. Out of those 1500 you cant find 8... EIGHT that can give a decent battle to average corps in this game.... AVERAGE CORPS.
If you read the planetary conquest wiki it states that corp battles for planets will be 16v16 right now... and you cant field 8 good players.
So... I ask you... What makes you think "PRO" will be able to hold anything planet related in this game?
If someone wants what you have, they will take it and there isn't anything you can do about it. |
