I was running a skirmish on this map and from time to time I like to take a look at the maps and see if I can find any nice spots to run my trade as a sniper.
On a major path I saw off to my left what looked like little walking trails that would lead me down from the steep cliffs that would certainly kill me if I fell off of them. I went about a quarter of the way down the path and all of a sudden I was frozen in place. If you look at B 6 there is a tiny trail that goes into B 7, and I say the area I was stuck in was right around that grid line between 6 an 7.
I heard loud, swirling wind. I also notice that my stamina bar was completely drained and would never charge back up so I could not jump. While in normal view mode everything was stable, but I noticed when I zoomed in with my sniper rifle or my sidearm pistol it appeared like I was jumping like a madman, faster than I could had I been pressing the button as fast as I could.
I was able to fire my weapons, toss grenades, toss nanohives. I just couldn't move. I never died and I wasn't about to try to commit suicide on a map where I had a perfect score going for the game with no deaths. I die enough thank you very much due to the very talented and relentless players we have on DUST! |

With the new game play area adjustments made, that area should not be accessible anymore. We will take a look at it to be absolutely sure though that no one can end up in a permanent fall / death scenario.
Thanks for the notification of this spot. =) |

Thanks for the quick feedback. Good to know areas like that are being worked out of maps so that people aren't getting stuck.
There was another player that followed me down that path and he got a few (in game measurment) feet in front of me and he got stuck as well. He died though, not sure if it was from the map or if he self-destructed.
I am trying to be as precise about the location as possible and I am pretty sure I got you pretty close to the location I was. |

The tricky part is the massive amount of terrain we have to run through to find these spots. So anytime our players can provide these positions it is highly valuable to us and greatly appreciated. |

Internal QA must hate that day of the week.
"Well boys, it's Wednesday - you know what that means. Walking over patches of terrain over and over again to see what happens."

Before we released Chromosome we ran around all the play areas (much of the team, not just QA) walking / running. Anything that we could "walk" into and could not walk out of, but rather had to jump, was to be adjusted so you could walk out. Some fittings wont let you get out of spots. That's just one of the steps we took to make sure people don't get stuck. It is a lot of work haha. |
