On the one hand sounds pretty nice because you don't run out of ammo to quick, on the other hand this would make nano hives quiet useless.... |

True, but having some mate with nano-hives in your squad now is very important, and i pretty much like it that way. Because you have to be careful where to place them, I think with nanohive and picked up ammo from corpses nearly nobody will run out of ammo, which deletes one mayor strategic point from the game.
I am not totally against this idea, I'm just saying this and nano hives is way to much ammo. at least some blueberrys would finally some needles with them then :D |

I am not totally against this idea, I'm just saying this and nano hives is way to much ammo. at least some blueberrys would finally some needles with them then :D I think the key here is that the body has to have the same ammo as you. IE, you get nothing if they are using a different weapon. This will be key once they roll out the expanded ones SOON. Also, it should be a process that takes some time to accomplish. I would guess it should be around 2 to three seconds. That way, a merc has to make a decision as to whether its worth it to search the corpse for ammo and be out in the open/occupied to the point that someone could surprise them. That way you have risk and reward.
If it depends on the type of ammo the enemy uses this can be a vry nice idea, if I can get ammo from every dropped enemy its IMO way to much.
I am not worried about the lost of some WP. I think my threat is independent from this, personally I don't care for the WP-reward of Nano-Hives, I have needles with me, thats it.
Personally I think keeping an eye on your ammo is a major point in this game, and a nice organised squad won't have trouble with that.
Also my other threat is not meant to keep me satisfied, rather than trying to make this game more complete. |

And the ammo and grenades (if they are running the same ones as you) you would get from them at the same rate as an advanced nano hive. But to swap their grenades (if you are running different ones) or swap out equipment is to go into a little popup menu to select them.
The only way to get the equipment is by going into the pop up menu. They could also employ icons signifying if they have the same ammo as you, or are running equipment usable by you.
so this is how I like this idea |
