If your a Heavy and you throw a locus grenade / Flux grenades you will die. I dont never recommend using any grenades other then AV grenades on heavies. A few matches Sunday I go up against a bunch of heavies in a few matches, all of them have locus grenades ready to throw. The second you start dying you just take the time to throw a grenade, the faster it will take for me to kill your ass. Heavy vs Heavy is awesome but seriously if you decide too throw another grenade at me, you will die even faster. I call these heavy throwing punk ass locus grenade throwers punks. Were is your might at??? Your a heavy, use AV nades, leave the locus and flux to assaults. It makes the game better. And its a waist of space Just a tip... Geth out

Heavies will stop crying when they understand that shield oriented suit arent the bargain they appear to be.... Focusing on armor and rolling with FLUX is probably the best bargain. You can just throw the flux at your feet and laugh when all the assaults around starts screaming cause they're 100HP left and you ..... 800 or more.

If I want to run in a heavy suit with knives that's my choice. If I want to use a scout suit with a swarm launcher, that's my choice. If I want to mine in a titan, that sure is also my choice. I'm happy we are together here in the sandbox, but you telling me how to make my play fun is not the way to do it. I personally like to try stuff rather than FOTM my way. Anyway I use flux, mostly because everyone depends on shields the most and after I know out the shields of a group then have very little to say ro my hmg.

They can take out the shields of a soma or a madrugar or most LAV. I see AV grenade as single purpose, flux as dual purpose, locust as multi purpose. The less reasons you need to use your grenades the more you depend on your gun, also the more reasons you need your grenade the less damage it does. With that said AV grenades make me completely dependant on my hmg.

It's amazing how effective that tactic actually is. Also... Anyone who doesn't use flux grenades with an HMG is an idiot. Even against armor heavies, it gives you a huge advantage to pop a flux and then go to work. So basically the OP is an idiot who ran into some baddies and won and now thinks he's some top-tier heavy user because he mopped the floor with a couple of guys who will be back to playing assaults in ~48 hours. Congrats on beating some baddies, OP, but honestly the best part of this thread is where you go "LOL FLUX IZ ONLY GUD FOR ASSAULTS YO!!!!" which gave me a nice chuckle, and I imagine every other good heavy user had the same response.

Use what you want, it's all situational. Pranekt and myself took out a Surya with 5 packed AV nades, they are no joke. If I felt like having a laundry list of fits made, I'd probably make a suit specific to each map, AV on some, flux on others. I guess it depends on my feels if I want to run AV or not.
