There is a message displayed in red font when you'r down already. It goes something like that:
Stand by... triage unit detected in vicinity
The only improvement would be to make it appear in the center of the screen instead of top of the screen. With bigger font. Possibly blinking.
It would be more helpful to: 1) Display distance indicator beside syringe indicator (akin to distance displayed below objectives letters) to help triage more feasible. It is hard to determine where a logi can deliver help fastest. A present syringe indicator may be pointing to the fallen teammate waiting for help just around the corner or to somebody lying 200 meters away. No way to tell it now. Triage is meant to sort out who needs help most on the battlefield. Reliably and without a guesswork.
2) Paint fallen clones as hollow circles on the scanner HUD. To distinguish them from healthy ones.
Thanx for the OP :) |

Rekon Syport wrote:The worst is being the Logi picking up an entire mob, repping like mad, and actually pushing forward with great success and being unlucky enough to go down once and have injektor equipped berries around with no Op4 and they all just keep rolling forward leaving you behind or just failing at picking you up.
Perhaps they couldn't find my body. I don't like h9ow the injektor disappears when you get right ontop of them and then I have to sort out all the berries on the map blocking visual or multiple dead bodies and having to ennie meenie miney moe. Somebody put aside your AR a second and pick up the Logi please. . . . he is your best friend.
For situations like described above the best solution would be (as Romans used to say ):
Medice, cura te ipsum
Have suggested adding an "auto-injector" to the merc's playset in this thread: [Request]High slot fitted nanite autoinjector (for logis mainly) Would need to be properly balanced, so to not spoil the gameplay...
Back to topic:
Please, give us better visual indicator/incentive to decide: 1) if it is worth waiting for being served a triage while downed... or 2) if it is worth for logi to chase that particular syringe displayed in the HUD... |

1. Want to withdraw from a proposition to mark downed clones as hollow dots on the scanner (upper left corner in FPS mode). Hollow dot is used for player's position on the scanner. In the center of it
Downed clones are marked as syringes on the scanner already. One just have to workout a habit of looking at it
2. But "triage units in vicinity" should definitely have a distinct look on the scanner. - a hollow cross for logi with nanite only? - a blow torch for a logi with a repper only? - a combination of both for a logi with nanite and repper?
Distance indicator would be nice too. For logis going after mercs and for mercs waiting for a logis.
3. How to let know a downed merc i am on my way to rezz him? Maybe some locking mechanism on a syringe icon would help? Ex.:
Step 1) A logi looks up a closest syringe icon. After CCP Devs add distance indicator to the syringe icon of course.
Step 2) She/he starts to follow it ASAP.
Step 3) When it displays in front of her/him, he/she would pull nanite out and hold R1.
Step 4) This would lock onto the particular syringe icon (err... downed teammate) and put it into white square. It could look like objectives letters icons but in white color and with the syringe icon inside. To unlock simply hold R1 for a moment.
Step 5) When the downed merc is locked on she/he would get a message telling that a "logi name" is on her/his way to help... Allong with the tangible distance indicator of the logi...
Step 6) If the merc doesn't want to be rezzed she/he simply hits O to respawn and a logi gets his "target" unlocked. If a logi fails to help (or decides to unlock), a merc would get a message too. And would know a logi who failed her/him by name... |
