This is the internet where people make disconnected, insensitive remarks all the time, it is sad but it is the truth. If it makes you feel better look at it this way: One day humanity may all perish, and not one f*** will be given after we're gone. |

It should be in the Off-Topic area (Locker Room). |

Please note the thread topic. To the Japanese DUST players. This is the outreach of a non Japanese to another section of the community about something that may impact them. If it doesn't impact you that's ok. If you arent religeous thats ok. If you don't really care that's ok. But this thread is literally about bringing parts of our community together. That's good for the player base and good for the game. For those that are unaffected but care its a chance to sympathize with your fellow man and let them KNOW you sympathize which always helps lift peoples spirits. That's a good deed.
So yes it doesn't matter to the large majority of you. And that's ok. However disrespect about people who died in a tragedy causes more emotional pain. It splits the player base. It hurts your game. It hurts people needlessly.
If you don't care then ignore. That's the meaning of not caring. Needless asshattery does no one good. That's why you get called a douche.
Btw chi-chi. I wasn't in that tsunami. I dont know anyone who died. Still that's kind of you to say. Some of our Japanese players will definitely appreciate it. My step brother is going to film a documentary on tohoku. He went so far as to start a kickstarter. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1283108911/tohoku-tomo
He wasn't affected by the earthquake nor was anyone he knows affected. Just so you know that for every insensitive person or strait up ass out there like some of these posters, there is a guy like yourself who cares just because they empathize with their fellow man.

I've removed the offending posts from this thread.
Additionally, though the sentiment is nice, this does belong in the Locker Room, not General Discussions, as this section is only for discussing the game itself. So moving this. |
