Ive heard about a soft cap on sp after you have played a certain amount of matches.
I think i may have hit mine i went from getting 5k per match to only getting a couple hundred. is there some sort of all inclusive guide for this? I have tried google but have been unable to find anything specific enough to get an answer. |

not # of matches, it's the amount of SP earned. If you hit the cap you'll get exactly 1,000 sp/match. If you have a booster it will be exactly 1,500 sp/match.

To my knowledge, when the change went from Daily to Weekly, the same number of SP available still existed.
It was 27,000 per day, so 27,000 X 7 = 189,000
With the Passive being 1,000 an hour, that's an extra 168,000 a week.
As others have states, you will now get 1 SP per WP up to 1,000 per map. If you can get a pretty high WP total on Ambush, you can still get some extra SP to supplement your 1,000/hour.

Basically what the others above have said but here is a little more detail. CCP went from a daily hard cap to a weekly soft cap based on a player vote a while back.
Weekly soft cap is 190,400 SP from active playing in games. The passive cap is 1000 sp per hour or 168,000 per week and you gain this simply through time and does not change unless you have passive boosters.
Current boosters give you an 'extra' 50% increase to the cap i.e. you gain 95200 (Active) and 84000 (Passive) depending on if you buy either or both boosters.
Once you have reached the cap then you gain SP based on your WP (War Points) gained in the game upto a maximum of 1000 SP (Boosted = 1500). For example you play one game and only kill 1 player and nothing else then the WP awarded to you is 50 and this is then converted to 50 SP (Active = 75 SP).
However, if you do really well in the game and get 2000 WP in a game you will only get a max of 1000 SP, which is the current soft cap, or 1500 SP if you are using a Active Booster.
