JP, so many of your threads could have been avoided if you just used the search function.
BTW, the answer is no, except in the case of some some catastrophic unforeseeable disaster occurring. |

Presti71 wrote:There better be a character reset at Full Release if they expect to get any NEW players! This game is still in Beta and long away from full release and its already one of the most newbie unfriendly games i have seen in a while.
The gap between new players and Veterans is growing everyday and is directly affecting Battle victory where some games basically come down to which side has the most veteran players with Heavy Armor & Heavy Weapons.
A big issue i am seeing in a good number of games is when one side gets signifigantly ahead of the other side, Maxed out veterans on the losing side who don't need SP and ISK as much either stop playing or drop out of the game... ...which leaves only the newer players on the losing side who need all the SP & ISK they can get who are now forced to take on the dominating team whose veterans have ALL switched to Heavy Armor & Weapons... ...and NOW those newbies aren't even getting ANY kills because they are getting 1-shot killed the second they poke their head out.
Also, its going to be hard to hold the attention of New Players as the game is now when those newbies log in with their starter Assault builds and realize their assault rifles arent doing ANY Damage to the veteran players Heavy Armor! So what stops a guy who joins on release from stomping a guy who joined a year later? Nothing, like in Eve, there will always be those who have an advantage simply because they have played longer. There is also nothing stoping people from grinding SP right now, it is an open beta.
What CCP needs to do is give all the "leet" players something to do, aside from pubstomping. |

Presti71 wrote: 3.It's not individual disparity thats the issue so much but the makeup of the entire team. Like i said, i have seen many pub game come down solely to which side had more veterans with Heavy Armor winning and the side with more noobs like me losing! :)
4. A whole seperate issue in pub games is the number of people who quit playing or drop out of the game the minute their team starts losing. It is happening WAY too much and makes the game NO fun for the remaining players on the losing side.
4. I know those feels.
3. Veterans yeah, but heavies aren't really a problem. I've only been playing for like a month and kept getting owned by heavies so I decided to skill into heavies and HMGs myself, lets just say it wasn't as easy as I had hoped it would be. The big issue with heavies is that most people fight them like they would fight any other class, that simply wont work, but once you figure out their weaknesses, fighting one 1 on 1 becomes rather simple. |
