I was at seven last night and this morning, not even eight hours later, I'm up to 16.
Really wish they would do something about this. It's pretty annoying. |

These are Corp/Allaince messages.
There is a mechanic in EvE where by you can send the entire corporation or alliance an email. If I remember right there is a sub folder in the mail just for these messages.
Dust does not have access to this subfolder but as EVE and Dust are linked so are the corps/alliances. someone in EvE sends a corp mail, you get a mail tick in a folder that you cant see, thus cant open to read.
So yes these are real messages and its not exactly a bug ether, its working as its meant to, you get a mail, you get a notification of the mail. just for some unknown to me reason CCP have not given us access to the subfolder these messages are sent to -_-
also, think im high 40's atm. |

Any above 50 are real messages- if it says 59, you have 9 real unread messages

im at 17.. this happens to me sometimes when i read straight from the notification. if its really bothering you, you could always send yourself mail.. this clears them but they will reappear when you log back on.. very annoyin |
