i hope the scrambler rifle isnt a sniper we already have enough ppl sitting miles away doin nothing

i dont expect it to be a full auto AR either but more a DMR hopefully more like what the TAR was SUPPOSED to be be

that being said looking forward to scrambler rifle more

I've always been better at cq with a scram pistol than with AR. I'll prolly do much more midrange with the rifle than AR.

Anyways current theory crafting. Scrambler Riflie is likely a headshot sniper rifle. Vs the regular sniper rifle which probably does more body damage. The Caldari Gauss Rifle is likely to be a longer range, more accurate, but less damage than the plasma AR, its also likely to have a much larger magazine and not be such a pita to fit. Plasma Cannon is a higher damage than the swarm launcher is because it cannot lock, its believe to require a pre-charge or has a charge as well and has a possibility of an arc'ed shot but that's old information. It should be same fitting weight as the swarm launchers give or take and not as heavy in damage as the much heavier forge gun. Flaylock is basically a minmatar magnum/desert eagle shooting micro-rockets, hard to use but it is going to effing hurt if hits. Low magazine sizes and short reach though is going to no make it a noob hand cannon.

Ummm no, they don't look similar. The magazine on the current AR points outwards. The Scrambler Rifle magazine points inwards. The reload takes a while on the sniper rifle and by the looks of it, so is the scrambler rifle.

It'd be silly to add three assault rifles -EARLY IN THE GAME-. We need more versatility in the weaponry right now, not a bunch of re-skinned/re-hashed (and ridiculously powerful in the higher tier) rifles that are great (not good) at absolutely everything. We need more diversity in the weapons to encourage specialization; if we just keep pumping out assault rifles then it's just going to wind up being a Re-skin of the Tactical Assault Rifle or something else. There's only so many places you can go when attaching 'rifle' at the end of the weapon title. Full auto, burst, single-fire. Now, if they made a charge assault rifle; that'd be pretty interesting.
