as in pistol specialized.
Do two pistols on my belt (assault suit) share ammo, or do they have separate stores? If I were to keep say, a burst and an assault pistol for dealing with different ranges, would I be able to see my total bullet stores from just looking at one? |

Separate ammunition stocks.
There's a vid of a guy who uses dual SMGs on a rapid infiltrator scout and it's just sick.
Of course this also means you have to reload them individually. They're individual and separate weapons. |

I <3 dual pistols, but I'd recommend ditching the burst pistol and just roll with 2 KLOs. (the ammo is diff for each gun there too) |

What's a KLO? and I was planning on keeping the two pistols separate types for handling separate threats, the assault to handle medium range, the burst to cover close range encounters. although, I don't ever really hear good things about the burst, is something off with it, does it give up too much accuracy for not enough stopping power(all the bullets in the world mean nothing if you don't hit your target)? was also considering a breach as close quarters simply for it's sheer stopping power.
oh, and is there a "general's" pistol model and if so, does anyone know what type it is? |

If you haven't salvaged enough tacticals, go with a TT-3 |

I used that post like crazy (which is why I gave turret ranges ;)
here's klo vs tt-3
Advantages of a KLO: > Cheaper > Uses less CPU > Uses less PG > Higher maximum range
Advantages of a TT-3 > Higher maximum effective range > Higher rate of fire > Carries more rounds (mag size is the same, but it has 6 extra rounds that you can carry with you)
They have the same damage, same mag size, and the same reload time.
I generally use KLO on a t1 scout suit because it's cheap and easy to fit. The KLO is about 70% of the TT-3's cost. That means it's much cheaper to die four times with a KLO than it is to die three times with a TT-3. Since the prototype carthum assault scrambler pistol requires the same PG and CPU as the TT-3, but has much better stats, I usually just run with KLOs. If I want to try-hard, I'll throw on a type-A scout suit with better pistols.
It's up to you. If you can afford to use better gear (to fit the TT-3 over the KLO I believe I had to use better mods, which were more expensive too) go ahead. If you like to be cheap but still pwnface, KLOs rock.
I never liked burst. I like slower, high damage weapons with greater fire control. Using spammy-the-clown high RoF, low dmg weapons is not my thing ^.^ |
