Perhaps someone can give me a better understanding of what OP is. I wanted to have fun with the Balac-¦s GAR-21 Assault Rifle today in some OMS and it does what it is ment to do....cut through flesh like butter, and I get all these messages calling me a tryhard and the Balac-¦s GAR-21 Assault Rifle is OP. I think for the rarity of the rifle, it is perfectly fine how it is. Why would I save these babies for corp matches when I can have fun in pub matches? Do you think the Balac-¦s GAR-21 Assault Rifle is OP?

i dont know i refuse to train AR 5 til i get the sub skills laid out. but i realized after you hit 30 of a officer weapon you stop getting them. |

It looked like you were using the DS3, and as a KBM user I gotta say, I have no problem with DS3 users using the best gear possible, because they need the advantage.
If you were using the KBM, I'm surprised you didn't get more kills. |

How is pimp hand strong holding up? Is it hard out there for a heavy? Are you surprised that you had to switch to an AR to get fan mail? |

Wonder how long it's going to take to get the message out that DUST is not a duel. This isn't about balance. You work at finding an advantage and then leverage it.
What's the counter to lowratehitman standing on a platform using an officer grade AR? Let's see, sniper, tank, mass driver that is shooting from behind cover, etc.
You can't spend Aurum to buy a big stack of officer gear. There is a natural limit to it.
Nice to see that weapon in operation. |

yea it is OP but thats what an officer gun is suppose to do. Now this gun is rare not everyone will be running around using the Balac and the couple people who dare to use it its usually on a pub match against a bunch of noobs because there is a little chance to lose it, every vet does it this way... use some for fun, save some for a serious corp battle and thats how it should be. |

The rifle is working as intended. You're cutting through militia gear with an SMG/Duvolle combo. Pub stomping with protogear or higher usually gets you branded as a "try hard" for the match.
I would like to give you a warning, however. Be careful who you play when you use it. Balac's are deadly weapons in deadly hands. Take you down with standard gear is far from impossible. I would hate for you to lose such good gear over so little reward.

Actually I have been SP grinding so much I have not brought him out in a month. I would more than likely get owned with 6700k sp,but I will see. |

The officer weapons are supposed to be extremely powerful, countered by the fact they are in very limited numbers. The only officer that is overpowered is the Thale simply because it takes no real skill to use it. you just sit back in a safe heavy suit behind redline insta popping anyone else. Just because other players dont have the balls to run a balac or krin on the field were they may lose it doesnt make it overpowered, it just makes them pussies for stickin with a gek in a raven/sever suit |

I ran a Gastuns HMG in a standard suit once and went 35-1. I got revived, it was all good.
At least twice in that match other heavies got the complete drop on me, I was able to turn on them and hose them down.
The tension of not wanting to lose it, and the shame of pubstomping with it made for an memorable game. |

GAR-21 is pure beast mode. With damage mods, well, what's above beast mode?
They are fine,and from what I understand,they did nerf them a little from the last build,but not by much. |

Yea im waitin for the open market too cause ive got at least 50 top level tanks i dont want and will NEVER and i meen NEVER use cause im an lav type of guy so i realy want to get rid of these tanks i also got a few top grade dropships i dont want too so ill be sellin em the second its out!

Almost as cheap as when OP's squad uses flux nades while he spams fused nades from a nanohive.
Anytime I see an officer weapon in a pub match, I make it my goal to assassinate whoever is using it and make sure to bleed them out.
Sure, you've earned the right to use it, but you're going to feel dumb when you get gunned down and lose an item you can't buy in a pub match you weren't going to win anyways. |
