Been playing for quite some time now and I have noticed something that while it isn't a technical glitch or anything like that it certainly is a cause of great frustration.
You spawn on the screen and before you even have any control of your character, you're dead. I've even had this happen while the view of the game is changing from the spawn map to first person view as I am coming onto the screen and somebody had set off an explosion. As soon as I see anything at all I am flying through the air as a corpse.
Now, drop units can be seen on the map by anyone and I have seen that once an enemy finds one they usually camp it out and shoot anything that zones in through it. Usually that happens once. It happens to you and you learn from it. You say, "Hmm, looks like that drop unit is being camped, better not try that one again."
But then you choose the random spawn figuring that will negate that issue. But it doesn't. Because the spawn spot is not really all that random, clever players have discovered where these spawn points are and also camp them...usually with a tank, which is another issue.
There recently was a patch done to try to keep from players zoning in right in the middle of a pack of enemies. For the most part I have seen that working. Every once in awhile though I still have my first spawn coming in the middle of 3-4 enemies with no teammates around me.
I am not sure what the fix for this is. I know if you do some temporary shielding for the person spawning they could exploit that. I know that if you designate a certain zone for spawning that the enemies would just camp outside of that zone. Maybe there really is no fix for this at all and it is just a luck of the draw type thing, but I figured I would make this post and see what some others think. |

I don't see why there isn't a 10-30 second immunity. Or however long it would take to be fully loaded in and have a few seconds chance to turn around and defend yourself. Droplinks could still be camped, but it wouldn't be a case of you spawning into a droplink with a guy who one-shots you with from behind. Seems like GTA IV or something had a mechanic like that. You were immune to damage for about 30 seconds, which gave you a small chance to defend yourself from any camping enemies (or at least a chance to run away). |

Goddamn, it's like you WANT people to run around, freshly spawned, on a murderfest with no regard to their own health and no reason to have said regard.
Not that spawn resistance is bad. I think 5 seconds of reduced damage (80%, 60%, 40%, 20%, 10%, for each consecutive second) would go a long way at reducing spawn camping while not actually being overpowered. |

If there is any immunity time it should be 10-15 seconds and should be canceled out the moment you make an act of war. By act of war I mean aiming your gun, shooting your gun, melee attacking or throwing a grenade. |

If an immunity timer was added they would have to prevent the spawning player from being able to fire during the timer. Otherwise you would basically have god mode during the timer. |

Some form of resistance would be interesting to test. It would make capping a cru or objective a little bit harder as ppl would rush to defend it and basically get a resistance bonus if they die and are able to respawn in time. |
