it's time we all stopped using such a spray and pray weapon. The BR is far better, and is much more skill intensive then the Ar, just as it is in Halo.
Drop the scrubby Assault rifle, and pick up the Burst rifle. Or you're bad. |

Damage disparity between levels is too high on burst AR's. Costs too much to run the proto all the time, but when it is a lot of fun when I use it. |

seems more like you're trying to get people to use an inferior weapon to make them easy pickings for yourself. |

If they were to increase the damage of the BR to something like the GEK for tier 1 and increase it from there, then maybe it would be a viable weapon. |

The DPS on the burst is much higher than standard AR, you just have to be accurate and it isn't as effective on enemies that are running lateral to your position.

I'd sooner use a burst pistol than a burst AR.
But then again, I just happen to love pistols in general. Main weapons in a good number of games, due to good damage, small recoil, and generally good accuracy. |

Can't people just use turbo controllers like they did with the tactical AR? If that actually works,where's the skill in that? |

Hmm or I can burst fire my GEK and still get the same effect For 1/10th of the cost. Plus I don't have a scope and have to use the worst iron sites in any game. Sounds like the GEK is more skill intensive than your Burst Rifle.  |

Hell no... I like the Burst AR, but it cost to much, and it doesn't deliver as much as the Standard AR.
As for skills ... is just a "bit" harder to use, but not so much, that i will say is an Elite weapon. The Tactical AR is alot harder to use, some will say, nearly impossible. |

The burst rifle is only really worth using once you reach the Alloteck. The advances burst is somewhat useable, but the basic is trash. You can get kills with it, but it's not worth it to use it because of the extremely low DPS. Head to head with a basic AR and you are toast since getting hit throws off your aim because you are locked into a sight. Not to mention that the sight itself bounces around quite a bit and the bursts are shorter in the lower end rifles. With hit detection off, especially at range, the bounce of the sight hurts it quite a bit. Looking forward to better hit detection, that's all the burst really needs to work well.
That said.... the breach needs the most work. It either needs to have it's range and damage increased, or have it's ROF increased to Balac levels and it's damaged dropped to burst rifle levels. A slow ROF weapon needs range and high damage if you want it to resemble how it works right now, but if it were to be made a high ROF weapon then a short range and a small clip (like it has now) would be perfect as well. |

You are correct. My bad. I thought the earlier post was directed at the OP, who did use the word incorrectly.
