So, I know weapon customization is far off in the dreaded "Soon TM" section, but I think that a damage mod should be more appropriately placed as a weapon alteration. This avoids or reduces the issue of "OMGWTFBBQ 4x Damage Mod PWNZORZ!" and our broken stacking penalties, as well as seems to make more sense if you want to look at it from a logical standpoint. I equip a mod to my suit that make my bullets more powerful. lolwut? I can see the stimulant that increases melee damage making sense, but honestly, having a damage mod as say, a clip slot item (Army of Two, Brink, etc) along with underbarrel/barrel items and sights, would help with variety and less min/maxing.

most of the weapons(save for minmatar makes) use a form of energy(as well as ammunition) to run. the weapon damage mods direct more of the suit's unused energy to the weapons systems. |

Shields bro. Shields. Why not make your EHP skyrocket? Though I do think we could use more than just Extenders, Rechargers, and (currently) Damage mods for high slots, considering how many different low slot mods we have. |

+1 to OP, and +1 to Veritas for the suggestion of more high slot items - particularly if we're pushing a group out of the list to do it.
It would be nice if Profile dampeners were low slot, but scanning precision and range mods were high slots, and that makes logical sense, because the technology for masking emissions is generally either unpowered or uses very small amounts of power, while sensors themselves are a major drain on such resources. Also, that would make it more viable to sensor-tank a Scout and focus on a pure Scouting role, which currently caps out your low slots then leaves you with nothing to do with your high slots that actually benefits your primary role. |

Last time I checked it wasn't on the soon(tm) part even its filed under 'We wished it was in too' which basically means it planned but not worked on. So give or take its anywhere from 2-4 expansions out. |

They're working on it, they have at least some measure of plan for how to implement it. |
