Ok, sorry if this is common knowledge or a new term. Frame Size.

Small: Scout
Medium: Assault/Logi
Large: Heavy
In the video he stated that each race will get each frame size..... he did not each suit class. If they are talking about frame sizes and not suit classes, does this open up different classes... or simply getting rid of the class system and classifying drop-suit from frame sizes...
Am I reading too much into this? |

we are getting 4 scouts, 4 logis, 4 heavies, 4 conquest, 4 pilot, and 4 Assault suits.
Then we'll get the 4 pirate factions for each on top of that at some point. |

I keep hearing this.... but is there a source for it?
This was the first I have heard of Frame Sizes. |

IRC and pod casts mostly. They make vague references to stuff that is coming and "most racial drop suits" is one of them. I'm expecting a real dev blog any day now. Something about waiting for good screenshots. |

Based on the news from the devs in an official publicly-available announcement, NO WE'RE NOT.
We're getting 4 Small Frame Size suits (Scout sized, probably with similar roles), 4 Medium Frame Size suits (Assault/Logi size), and 4 Large Frame Size suits (Heavy size, probably with similar roles).
Give that they've announced the Crusader suit (formerly promoted as "Command suit"), the name sounds like an Amarr name, and with the intended purpose, it seems logical that this would be a Medium Frame Size. So there's an unknown Amarr suit coming that's PROBABLY a Small suit as well. Any bets on what that'll be?
The Pilot suit is confirmed to be a Gallente suit, and while images have been shown that make it look like a Small Frame Size, it could easily turn out to be a Medium Frame Size suit, thus giving Gallente their Logi/Assault equivalent.
I'm looking forward to my Caldari Small Frame suit, whatever that may turn out to be. |
