I think it's great that we are getting an earlier notice to the live events, but I wonder if there is something more that can be done.
I think it would be awesome if there could be news flashes on a market screen in the Merc Quarters that would help people who don't come to the forums or read the news pages on the web know what is going on.
It would be good to add a news section to the market to let people read up on the live events and the story. Since this is a console game the more you can keep it on the console, the more success I think it will have.
I think that stills with voice overs could go a long way (even short 10 to 30 second pieces could go a long way). The less walls of text on the console the better, but I think players should have access to those as well if they choose to go further down the rabbit hole.

I learned a lot just watching those videos just now.
Helps me answer the question: "What's Dust about?" when my friends ask. Now I have a better answer than, "It's about Eve."
Links to watch them in-game would be nice as well. That would allow us to make better use of those nice television sets we have in our quarters.

they NEED these for the times before the events, because it gives us warning without hearing by word of mouth.
it also helps those of us that were hoping to get sweet stuff and participate in the closing matches, only to find out those closing matches dont count... |

+1 This would be a great idea. I would even go so far to suggest that it automatically loads up and displays the video upon login (skippable by pressing START for players who really don't give a crap.. but if you keep them under 2-3 minutes I'm sure most people would watch them). I would love to know the story behind these events. |

What really needs to be done with our events is to make them different from normal matches. The Quafe battles were good because of the added element of the CCP guys running around in pink suits but we need much more variation to differentiate these special matches |
