In the video the dev states that all the races would be getting one of each of the frame sizes "small, medium and large'
Does this mean the dream of getting gallente assault, heavy and logistics is dead?

We currently have 4 suits, fitted into three "frame sizes" as follows:
Small: Scout
Medium: Assault, Logistics
Large: Heavy
Each race will have at least one suit within each frame size.
You WON'T see Gallente Assault and Logi suits, but you WILL see a new Medium Gallente Dropsuit that fills a similar role to the Caldari Assault and Minmatar Logistics suits, and you WILL see a Large Gallente Dropsuit that fills a similar role to the current Amarr Heavy suit. And I'll see my Small Caldari suit that fits somewhat into the Scout role.
Although I'm a little worried that the Gallente Scout feels so much like it's Shield-focused when it's meant to be Gallente, who are usually more closely-associated with Armour. |

Well that makes me sad.
I wonder if this means that the Caldari and Minmatar will both recieve heavy frames of some discription since it wouldn't make sense that both those races would produce heavy only weapons (forge/HMG) and not have the suits to carry them.
If that the case would this mean:
Caldari: Scout, Assault, Heavy
Minmatar: Scout, Logistics, Heavy
Gallente: Scout, Assault, Heavy
Amarr: Scout, Logistics, Heavy
Maybe? |

actually CCP Remnant said they will implement a suit for each frame for every race, each with their own weaknesses and strengths. that does not mean that there wont be a gallente assault and others. |

WHich is confusing since CCP Praetorian (senior producer) said in the last Cast 514 that thier would be racial symmetry, which was vague and could mean the new frame size thing. However he did say all the racial assault suits together "looked awesome".
I guess we will have to wait for the dev blog on this.
Still hoping for a full range of gallente suits including an assult suit.  |

That's exactly what I was saying.
You WON'T see a Caldari SCOUT. It will be a Caldari Small Frame - Maybe a Scout, maybe not. We don't know. But it will be a new suit that has a vaguely similar profile to the current Gallente Scout. Just like the Minmatar Logistics suit and the Caldari Assault suit share a vaguely similar profile.
And yes, there will be a Small Amarr suit.
EVERY race will have AT LEAST ONE suit in each frame size.
Small: Gallente Scout, Unknown Minmatar, Amarr and Caldari suits.
Medium: Caldari Assault, Minmatar Logistics, Unknown Amarr and Gallente suits
Large: Amarr Heavy, Unknown Gallente, Caldari and Minmatar suits.
For Medium suits, it seems likely that the Crusader Suit (originally promoted as the Command Suit) will be the Amarr variant, and the Pilot will be the Gallente Medium, since both of those have already been announced. |
