Altimeter, Attitude indicator ( tilt indicator), A speedometer would be nice but not necessary but just the tilt sensors and the altimeter would make it alot easier for me to fly and hover with the drop ship. It drives me nuts as i try to stand still and slowly drift into a building because I can't measure my tilt. |

agreed, its why i had to stop piloting, i'd end up with jsut the slightest drift when trying to stay still, or i'd have issues with landings... dropships need some love |

I consider myself a good pilot and i believe adding more instruments might impair some pilots. Personally i like the idea but not sure how much i would actually use them as im too busy looking out for lamp posts and 15 militia swarms. |

Yeah if they do add instruments I want them to be as minmal as possible so they don't block my view, I'd also like the option to change the opaqueness of them |

i love to fly in first person but it is nearly impossible to judge altitude. high speed maneuvers near the ground often result in untimely dust pancakes. |

First person is far too restrictive to use as it is, but it would be simple for CCP to give us a wraparound first person view just as they do for our dropsuits. It's a camera projection after all and it's piped directly into our suits. So they could let us look left, right, and behind as well.
The flight instruments could be integrated seamlessly and unobtrusively into our HUD. |

This would be nice. I would like to see something of a "level dropship" button as well; something you push once (or hold) and the dropship levels itself to the ground, stopping right there.

I'd rather the ships be more maneuverable and responsive with proper instrumentation than have them start flying themselves. Let's keep the skill requirements up so the pilot role stays respected. |

EvE proves that if you put enough thrust on something that you can make even a brick fly. For all their technological advances they have such unwieldy troop transports. And if clones are so expensive with armor and weapons included then they should really make it so we don't all burn and die so easily. |
