 Hi,

Can anyone please confirm if your items are available over multiple characters? Also, if you are in a corp on your main, will you be in the corp if you create another character?

I started playing properly just a little while ago and put a lot of my sp into sniper stuff, now I'm not sure if I like being a sniper, so is it best to just start a fresh char?

 Many thanks

 stuff -

buying anything on one toon makes it locked to that toon,
items from merc packs can be assigned to any of your chars, but once assigned again it is locked to that char
Aur available is across all characters

 Corps -
all toons have to apply and be accepted to a corp, no automatic joins except to starter corps, and that is affected by race etc.

 Starting over -
sure you could, but why waste all that effort? just start reskilling and you'll have more flexibility

Starting over is inadvisable for several reasons...

When you allocate items they're locked to that character as said above.
This also means that when you delete a character, all the items allocated to him or her are deleted as well. We've already heard reports of people deleting characters with AUR and Merc Pack and other special gear. Unfortunate but it's gone...

I will also support the plan that you should just shift your focus skillwise if you're not enjoying it. You don't have to stick to what you've been doing but it means you've got a fallback role you can fill in if needed.

For those of us who have been around forever we already know what skills we're getting and where we're going, but for new guys I can see it's a lot tougher but will still advise you merely change your skill goals.

I have a skill planner here if that might help you get an idea of how far you'd have to go to reach certain skills and equipment:

Thanks guys, I will just re-skill this character then. A lot of my initial skills went into engineering, electronics and general drop suit so should help me across all roles anyway. I did play Eve for a fair while so I'm used to the specialisation idea - but I am floundering a bit in dust.....

And thanks for the skill calculator Chankk
