It's an interesting wager, but I can see a single fused locus grenade getting a OHK sometime in the match making a single kill to win not that difficult.
DUST is set up to require a majority to win and makes it pretty easy to die, so you aren't risking that much with those rules. |

Remote explosives or other traps can harass a superior force and cause them to lose a few clones without seriously affecting their ability to control an area. In that way DUST is working as intended. |

Actually, a better test of your lone wolf skills would be an assassination match.
You would have to kill one designated target on the opposing team and they would have to protect the target through the whole match. That would be a far better test than making a single lucky kill of an unimportant target. |

If you want a good match, try the assassination one for a low mil. That would sidestep worries about scamming and give you the test you want. |

As I posted above, you have a single designated target you have to kill and the opposing side has to keep him alive.
That's a far better test of lone wolf skills than one lucky kill of an unimportant target. Anyone can toss a bomb and kill a bodyguard, but can you get the valued target? |

You might stipulate the target is in a militia scout suit to make it interesting. |

And maybe require that he travel from objective to objective a minimum number of times to simulate the target doing important tasks. |

I still don't see that as a lone wolf situation since he is relying heavily on his teamates, in the background from a positional sense. Most times, maybe not in this match, the lone wolf is an aggressor, who enters parts of the battlefield, unprotected and sometimes out numbered, but most of all, by surprise. It involves some stealth, and unknown risk. Sometimes he pays dearly for it. It is the "other" frontline.
No, YOU are the lone wolf aggressor who has to kill the target. |

I'm kinda disappointed. I was hoping he would work out a new game mode that CCP might include later.
I think a good challenge might be Assassination where the target is in a squishy suit and is the only one allowed to hack. He has to take all three Null Cannons at least once and has to stay alive the whole match to win. The assassin has to kill him just once before time runs out or he is cloned to win. The rest are body guards.
Those rules should expose the target enough to simulate an important figure making a trip, and give the lone wolf a chance while putting some pressure on him to get the job done. They would undoubtedly need to be tweaked to balance the game, but it would be a fun change up from endless Skirmish or Ambush.
You could just do it for 1 mil until you get it balanced and it would be a blast. |

Yes, it would probably run that way the first twenty matches, but eventually you could alter the rules to make it possible. |

He is the only player in his corp too.
Didn't Killshot get scammed not too long ago? Or am I mistaken for another Corp, how did you earn 100mil ISK from just playing Pub matches?
The rules are so flawed, for all we know you could be exploiting a new WP gltich to get an Orbital.
Just recruit some people and put a contract up for 1mil ISK. Not a lot of people will trust this sorty of thing. There are so many ways to get 1-Hit KOs in Dust that I dont think this is worth the time or effort.
It could be a scam in that he promises to come alone, but brings a full team, takes the Null Cannons, wins the match, and walks off with the contract money. He may have only one in his corp now, but it's easy to add more at short notice and he only needs one more to run two squads and invite ringers. |
