Yes, I would quit if it was stolen. Maybe there are folks who don't care a damn if I play this game. But then again, I don't want to commit to a community that does such a thing, and they would be doing me a favor, giving me an excuse not to game with them.
EvE is built on stuff like this, man. You're going to be stolen from, you're going to be backstabbed, and you're going to me chated (most likely).
If it's going to be a real issue with you, then you might not want to stick around. |

Which you are being. No one will seriously accept this wager when all it takes is a lucky shot from a Forge Gun to OHK any suit ever. They'll lock down all the NULLs, take your money, and walk away.
Also: Team play is exactly what nearly all of DUST is being built around. It's not a lonewolf game, and will never be designed for that. If you aren't interested in teamplay, then I must admit that I do not think that this game is for you. |

You don't seem to get that in a corp match the only rules that apply are the ones dictating the game's victory screen. If they hack the NULL cannon's then they'll walk away with your ISK no matter how many of your own rules they broke.
As for your lone wolf shpeel, I'm not saying that they don't help the team (although many really don't), I'm saying the game will always favor teamplay, as in communication and large scale tactics. You don't get that as a lone wolf. At best you get a high KDR.
And yeah, there is safety in numbers. Because you can communicate with one another and support each other. A group of lone wolfs going up against an equally skilled, equally geared team will lose.
And there is no contradiction, you just have to be careful about who you trust. Welcome to everything involving clashing groups ever. |
