I've never seen this red light. However, I'd guess he probably has push-to-talk enabled, as it's on by default and the game isn't clear on how to use or disable it. With push-to-talk enabled, you'll only be able to talk while holding down left on the d-pad (I think). There's a setting somewhere in the settings menu in your neocom to turn off push-to-talk. If that doesn't work, make sure your friend has selected the squad chat and selected the "enable voice" option (should come up if you press select, scroll down to squad, then press X). |

Need to set up in the PS menu as well to route voice/chat through his mic. Believe it is under audio setup or chat setup in PlayStation main menu. If you don't do this, no settings in Dust will ever make a difference since the system doesn't autorecognize the device. Also, if BlueTooth you have to have the PS search for it and sync up. |

What kind of mic is he using? If he is using a Bluetooth headset He needs to go into settings --> Accessory Settings --> Manage Bluetooth Device. Then press X on Yes Register your Bluetooth device. Turn on headset and press X to star scanning. Locate your headset and press X. If you have a pass key enter it or just enter 0000.
Then you need to setup your input and output device, Go back to accessory settings and choose audio device settings. Choose your hedset as input and outpu.
You should be ready to go now. :) If it is a Bluetooth that is.
Otherwise plugin your USB and go directly to in and output. Make sure also mic and voice talk is enabled in game.
If it doesn't work tell me what headset e uses and I will Try and help you :) |
