Fitting isn't the issue, rather piloting the thing. I'm asking for help with the actual piloting of the damned thing. Any pointers, seting management of the controls, anything. I was always pretty good at flying helicopters in Battlefield 3, and pretty damned good at it in the PC version. Any help would be awesome. |

It's pretty much like an helicopter from BF. Nose down means forward, nose up backwards. Elevate and descend. Keep it horizontal for hover. Also it rotates with the look button, like a chopper. Practice by keeping it stable as much as possible by moving the nose up and down.

Everybody seems to screw up the landings, so I've said it before and I'll say it again. Don't try and land on top of things like a pancake. Come in horizontal, all while tilting the ship backwards and squeezing L2. If you're getting too low, back off on the L2. Now when you start getting real close to the ground, back off the L2 and let your inertia bring you down. Some people find it helps to use the rotation control to whip it around in a 180 before you touch down so you can get a better view of your LZ real quick.
One good way I helped a fellow corpmate practice his landings was in a corp match where the other team didn't show up (until later in the match, when we destroyed them). We both hopped in dropships and I flew around placing rally markers at random locations, and then he would rush to land at them. When he touched down, I'd place another. |

You can always play in a skirmish game and stay in the back if you want to practice landing, getting stable and such.
Remember you don't have to floor the L1 all the time, this is basically to go faster or increase altitude.
You can over without pressing anything almost (i think it loose some altitude when hovering), so just touch the L1 gently.
Miltia dropship without module is ok if your practice outside of the battle field. When in the action, you can then practice to use the modules which need activation while flying, when to use them and such.
I have had alot more flight time now that I get some good module on there. You can get shoot by a tank a few times before going down, it gives you pletty of time to go away and hide, but this is where it is hard, rushing out and hiding somewhere, or landing in a rush. |

Also the MCC seems to do no collision damage, i have rammed it with both shield and armour dropships(with afterburners activated) and received no damage from it |
