A QQ thread about rails? First off that they trump Anti-Infantry tanks...Ummm yeah, working as intended.
and QQ about redline tanking?? Are you new to Dust? Wait....No, IcyTiger, you've been here a while . Did you miss all the snipers and tanks hiding behind the redline for the last few months popping infantry with little to no risk to loss?
The redline, in general, has some bad mechanics tied to it....but don't blame the tank weapon.
I've seen blaster tanks sneak up on rail tanks and pop them....rare but it happens.
Not to mention you can deal stupid amounts of damage with a high level forge guns fitted with damage mods and that gun is carried in someone's hands, not fitted on the top of a tank, and much cheaper than an actual A/V tank.
IMO, tanks need a bit more tank (generally speaking) but they also need to be restricted from pubbies at certain levels and removed from Non OMS Ambush all together. |

The fact that railgun can deal 3000+ damage just from passive increases and damage mods, is ridiculous. The fact that it can do it across the map is ridiculous moreso, and just kills tank v tank fights.
Yes, I'm saying your QQing because you probably just lost a tank, came onto the forums, and dropped this knowledge bomb on us:

Just my opinion, but what you QQ'd about has nothing the do with the turret on the tank. As others have pointed out, there is a larger and much different problem than the turret you just came onto the forums and asked be "Drastically changed"
Damage mods are broken. This is fairly well known and not just impacting your precious tanks. I lose suits every day to players sitting behind the red line with officer sniper rifles and militia sniper rifles fit with damage mods but I don't come on the forums and QQ asking for the rifle to be removed.
You didn't take the time to consider it couldn't possibly be you being hit by another weapon or anything else at all. You didn't even know the name of the person who popped your tank so your observational skills leave a little to be desired. Instead of factoring in any of the aforementioned, you came on the forums and made your own special thread claiming Rail Turrets are broken.

Maybe had you spent more time on training PROTO rails and less time on Corp Battle Dodging Proficiency
I'll just go ahead and throw this out there again, in case you missed it.....A properly fitted PROTO Forge gun can two shot a tank and it's a hand held weapon that costs significantly less than a tank. You simply don't care about it because it doesn't take your pub stomping armor tank off the field like one of 0 Try Harder rail fit Sagaris did.
