I'm halfway descent and I use a controller, though I'm going to test KB/M because I've never tried it before.
I have a couple friends that are actually semi professional FPS players, and they use controllers only. ******* monsters, what I wouldn't give for them to take this game seriously >_< |

There is some but they are hard to explain because it is something that you as a player must learn. knowing spawns, spawn prediction, thinking ahead,deceiving/outsmarting your enemy, predicting what its going to happen if you choose to do something, knowing if the situation is suitable for executing a t bag. stuff like that. |

I sit in the MCC push AFK farmers off , and to do that I use a DS3
to shoot people I use both, M/K during the day DS3 during night. |

Mechanical keyboards with dedicated bespoke configurations and software and high DPI mouse and lots and lots of natural talent with a deep understanding of the game they are playing. Plus a bunch of other stuff.
Or a cheap controller.  |

Like the post above you said, it's about experience (understanding the game and its mechanics) and how you analyze situations. All the information is on your screen, it's up to the person to understand it and use it efficiently. |

Normally I run with DS3 on 30 sensitivity. Only problem is if someone manages to get in behind me, as rare as that is with my scanning mods on. A quick jump to the side and a turn around is usually sufficient. When I put on my try hard undies I will switch it up for a KB/M.
For vehicles I use the DS3 for dropships and LAVs. You need the ability to control your turns and acceleration better than what a KB/M can offer atm. Although for tanks I use KB/M. Acceleration and top speed feels increased on it. |

Im not leet.
I use them pretty interchangeably. I prefer Mouse and keyboard slightly but don't want to setup a table every time i want to play.
Prefrences:
Dropships: Controller Only.
Tanks: Much prefer M/KB because i maintain more speed while turning.'
Lavs: It feels easier on M/KB but just slightly. I can "Drift" more easily on controller.
Assault Rifle: Either/Or
ForgeGun: Preference to M/KB
Using Grenades: Controller all the way.
Laser Rifle: Either/Or |

well i use to play with the controller but i can't aim for **** with it, so i switched to the KB/M and my aim has improved significantly.
when playing with the controller if i can get 8-10 kills that would be considered a miracle. now with the KB/M i can get that 8-10 kills with no problem.
some people are good with the controller and others not so good, and im part of the group who sucks using the controller for an FPS setting |

if i can be considered "elite" or what have you ill put in mah two cents. kb/m all the way, annie and I have been doing the fps scene for decade and a half starting with old fps's on 56k such as Tribes so kb/m is second nature. it also explains why we are freaks of nature that can turn on a dime and start opening up when you shoot us in the buttocks. |

I know that Move is full of fail in Dust, but suddenly I want to try this... now where did I put that Duct Tape? Only problem I see is that my lashes will not reach the buttons. How did you work around that?
And btw. KB/M is called "easy mode", 10x more so for snipers. And as far as DS3 goes -- I needed to elevate right analog slightly (google it), up the sensitivity and then spend few hours adjusting. Went better than expected -- I went from "can't aim for ****" to "full auto to the head in CQC, fool". It's still not as easy as KBM, but I spend my days in front of a computer at work and DS3 is what I come back home to. ;-) |

Well i use the DualShock 3 because thats what i'm used to for a number of years. If i used a KB/M i wouldnt do as good for sure. |
