Dunno, never played against you. What I see in most games is either scouts are sniping, getting their S kicked, or it's a proto suits beating up on noobs - this is my experience. First of all, are you talking about militia scout in militia mostly matches Or advanced/proto scout in proto-dominated matches, or a scout proto against militia? All those results would be drastically different.
As far as a 'good sniper killing fit' I don't understand the utility of one - honestly. Any suit can wreck havok on snipers if one chooses to run around hills hunting for them. In my mind it's not about a good or bad fit at this point - any fit is enough because snipers are fish in barrel if you sneak up on them, except select few that are outliers.
Well, as you know, Arbiter's start with the Scout Sniping BPO Starter Fit.
I find that I have to use Advanced suits mostly to customize the scout to my liking (I have specific tastes), but since I'm so accustomed to A series and Type I that going back to militia just seems ridiculous. But regardless, I still have militia scout fittings that get used on occasion, and my use in the better suits allows me to have foreknowledge of what to prioritize unlike the new players.
The scout suit cannot dodge bullets, would be sweet if it could, but it's just the frail butterfly in the breeze coming to kill you. And the butterfly can kill you in any number of ways, but for every way, there are different actions the butterfly must do in order to kill. The butterfly must think different. The butterfly can't just fly up to your face, the butterfly will get swatted and die. The butterfly uses the wind to push him fastly down your esophagus before you knew it; till you choke.
You can't just run into combat like an assault. Though they can be battlefront fighters. In fact, the most ninja thing I've done with a Scout Suit is completely walking around the map and hacking every single enemy objective, because everyone else was literally fighting over one objectiveless location. I use my scouts in front line combat, a lot of the time. Almost all the time.
I recently had a game where we were getting Proto stomped in a very small Ambush game, and I killed alright (love proto suit matches = money!). I used their key weakness: Shields. That's the mentality a scout should have. Scouts should attack weaknesses, which is why they thrive in stealth combat, as it is a weak area for many to counter. I use my scout controversially with a Mass Driver and Flux nade, primarily good for Heavy hunting, as my mobility is an obstacle for heavies, and I use that to my advantage.
